Diamond and Pearl Release Date

I heard that the english release date was going to be sometime around July 28,2007 but I don't believe it. It seems to long i hope it comes out in either December 2006 or January 2007
 
Why July 28?

We don't know when it will be released but it will probably be sometime in the Spring.
 
Ugh. That makes me sad.

Then again, Japan doesn't care for English fans, or at least from what I've experienced, they don't. Like not giving us Final Mix and Chain of Memories instead. That was just cruel.
 
NoA has already stated through Nintendo Power that D/P are coming out in the first "Quarter" of 2007.
 
My latest EGM also mentioned Spring, which could include March, which irc is the First Quarter...

That's a entirely different company, Nintendo is usually pretty good to us.
 
I believe that March is the final month of the first quarter. Then again, what do I know?

I expect it to come out around the same day as R/S did here...Which was on my birthday. Here's hoping for a two-fer. 8D
 
A quarter would imply dividing by four, and if you divide 12 months by four, you get 3 months apiece. March, being the third month, should be the end of that quarter, but I know little about business, either.
 
Then again, it could be the first quarter of the financial year, which would make it 3rd quarter of the actual year.

But why would video game release dates be relative to the financial year?

Usually, when talking about video games release, Q1 (first quarter) indeed refer to January-March.
 
Well that's good news. Although not usually the case, with all the anticipation of D/P's release, a worldwide release date would most likely boost immediate sales of both games. I know I would queue up the night before just to get my hands on it, if only just to wi-fi trade. But then again I'm just saying this because I'm sick of waiting a till month after the U.S release date for my game (I don't like to import.)
 
Importing makes me sad. Though, I'll just go down to one of the many Gamestops located around here and reserve it.
 
Well I hope that they realease it in the beginning of the year. It says on Pokemonelite2000.com that they're releasing it in Spring, so it'll probably be around March or April

NOA will announce the date eventually. Just be patient.

Personally, I think they won't announce the date until they know for certain that it can be released by that date. For example, if they find translating/removing glitches harder than usual (Just an example, I doubt they'd find it hard), they'll have to openly announce that they won't have it ready by then. Methinks that once they have good progress on the game, then they'll announce it.
