Pokémon Diamond has remained at the number nine spot in the Media Create rankings of console game sales this week. Pokémon Pearl and Pokémon Battle Revolution came were ranked respectively at 13 and 29. Diamond sold 22,982 copies in Japan from Jan. 8-14, bringing its total sales to 2,502,801.

There are about 14 million + DSs in Japan and about 1 million Wiis in Japan.

You do the maths as to which system is going to have the most game sales.

To think, had the games been switced and been called Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, those numbers would be the exact opposite, number for number. I don't get people and their odd purchasing habits.

I don't think we have any sold proof that that is true. It seems like it also has to do with the popularity of the cover monster. It seems many can't give up the idea of a Steel Dragon monster that controlls time. As with a godzilla-like monster, or a fire dragon.

What were the numbers on Gold and Silver. I believe Lugia is the more popular monster, but I don't know game sale wise.

Also, I really think Media Crate should not seperate same game sells. It makes their profits misleading, like with Ryusei Rockmon. The three different versions made it not even break the top ten on release. (otherwise it would have ranked in the top 10)

This be the first time the "blue" game is more popular than the "red" game. Fools. All shall bow to the PINK DRAGON OF DOOMINESS!

Gold sold more, I believe. It's the same for whichever games' name comes first.
