After the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, people got pretty excited about Nintendo's plans for future. Many people hoped for remakes of Pokémon Gold and Silver in close future. Since Generation III times are over, people still hope that Nintendo will release GS remakes for the Nintendo DS.

By who? I haven't even heard rumors of that. And there's pretty much always "The sky is falling series is ending!" rumors floating about...

Right. And they hate continuing franchises for many, many generations and many, many systems.

Mario's a rare exception.

And so is Link.

And Kirby.

And... um... all of them. They're all exceptions.
 
I really don't see the point in giving Maxim an opinion piece on Bulbanews when we all know that his completely baseless opinions are, of course, "solid fact"...
 
I think its pretty obvious a third version of D/P is inevitable, and Johto remakes are a strong possibility.

Beyond that, we already know we're getting Mystery Dungeon sequals, and we'll probably get a few more spinoffs along the way. Maybe the Pokemon Ranger games will be turned into a secondary series...I'm not so sure that we've seen the last of the Ranger concept.

Combine everything I said above, and that's exactly what we got between R/S and D/P.

If someone articulates his/her opinion in such an essay format, it is suitable for Bulbanews regardless of whether we at Bulbanews agree with that opinion. Opinions do not necessarily have to equal fact. Unown Lord has posted some speculation pieces of his own.
 
I took the time to post the rumours in 6 other Internet-forums.

I thinks that the roumour about the GS remakes is true. Why? Becaus it has kind of rained down questions at NoA, PUSA and NoE of the remakes since FR/LG as well it h as rained dwon hacks och FR and Emerald that is inofficiell GS remakes. Also, the data has sowed two Johto locations.
Additionally, the missing data for other Johto locations and several items may be send to players with ability to play by the Wi-Fi COnnection service may be possible, just like the WiiConnect24 for Wii. And if not that's possible to do, it is posssible to link between D/P and BR to Wii who got WC24 and send over the data.
 
I would like to see a pokemon xd/coliseum sequal for the wii.
Note to Nintendo- Just let me actually GET a wii first...
 
And just let me get a SNES, an N64, a Gamecube, and a Wii, Then pokemon stadium 1 and 2, Colliseum, XD, and whatever else.

I've been thinking about GSC remakes for a while, but i never really thought about a Yellow remake.

Screw a Colo/XD sequel, I want a Stadium 3 with Hoenn and Sinnoh GLCs, and why not throw in Kanto and Johto GLCs as well?


I know I can't be the only one who missed those things.
 
I, honestly think it would be beyond awesome if they did the gold/silver remake, for the Wii.
 
It will be a sad, sad day for Nintendo and Pokemon fans when the Pokemon franchise comes to an end... but I would rather see them go out with a bang rather than without one. I don't even want to think of that now.

Anyways, what do you mean you want a Colloseum/ Stadium remake? What fans really want is a first or third person console based pokemon Rpg. Think Oblivion, but with PokeBalls and online battling, trading etc... Or theres the possibility of a Pokemon mmorpg. Also maybe im just crazy, but I would like to see a Pokemon Snap or Hey you Pikachu type game on the Wii.

Moving on...

With that being said, Nintendo has alot of future potential with Pokemon games. Especially on a console like the wii. The only question is, will Nintendo split the Pokemon RPG from the handhelds with the console? I think its only a matter of time...
 
I hope for Pokemon Snap on the DS. a few month ago there was a fake scan with snap wandering around the net and i wished it could be true =)

I also hope for a GS remake and pokemon trading card game and pinball for the DS.

I don't have a wii so i don't care what's coming out on it but whatever game they will bring out for the wii it will be bad.

Pokemon is for the handheld!
 
I don't think any Pokémon game will ever be announced to be "the last" to the public before release, or possibly even after release. It will probably just fade away, slowly and gradually.
 
Even if they announced any game as "the last", the fans would go nuts and demand more.
