Yeah, there were lots of different battle themes, area themes, et cetera in the fourth generation.

Now I'm asking, which one's your favourite?

[/pointlessness]

Azelf/Mesprit/Uxie battle music was pretty darn cool, as is the Sunnyshore city music. But I think that the R/S/E rival battle music was lots of fun, if I were to include all games.

damn thats a toughie.
while the music was not as good as past games, (G/S/C owns all in that dept.) there were still some good tunes. I liked the legendary trio music, champion cynthia theme, and the veilstone game corner music.

I'd say Sunnyshore city, Canalave City (night), Route 210, Azelf/Mesprit/Uxie battle music and Floroaoma Town

Azelf/Uxie Battle theme, and Team Galactic. And I can't remember Which third gen standard I liked. I think it was Emerald

i absolutely love the Gym Leader/Elite Four theme, Cynthias theme, the route above Solaceon Town music.

I like the night music of Jubilife City. Jaaaaazzy! I also like Sunyshore day music, but for some reason it reminds me of Home Depot... My third fave would be Verity Lakefront Music. Here's a top 5 list for you lazy people:

1) Jubilife City (Night)

2) Sunyshore City (Day)

3) Verity Lakefront (Day)

4) Fight Area (Day)

5) Oreburgh City (Day)

I actually like the Jubilife Night music so much that on nights that I can't sleep, I'll take out my earbuds and turn on Pokémon because it's so relaxing.

Route 225 (night)
Team galactic battle
legendary fights
Sunyshore (both day and night)
route 209 (gives a relaxed feeling)
and a few others, majority of them probably at night

Although I miss the R/S/E Gym leader victory theme, changing that in DP was one of my biggest dissapointments.

I LOVE the DP music! IMO it's a bit better than GSC and just about as good as FRLG
the long, epic list
1. Champion theme - I love the fast techno and there is no word in the English language to describe the epic incredible feel I feel whenever I battle Shirona with this song.
2. Kurogane - so fun
3. Jubilife city both day and night - nice jazz sound
4. Tobari city both d&n - my favorite jazz song
5. The route outside of Pal Park - so inspirational, beautiful and makes me cry
6. The route outside Nomose - tsundere, it's got so many interesting parts
7. Zui and Nomose town themes - so relaxing. It creates a nice atmosphere when you're driving through small towns in the country.
8. the road to Tobari from Zui - nostalgia, although the way the song sounds makes it feel like it should've been places a LOT later on in the game, because it has that final, ultimate feeling
9. Route 230 - second favorite jazz theme. It's relaxing and just nice
10. Gym battle - yeah baby!
11. Gym - I dont like this one as much as the FRLG one (note I didn't say RSE because although it's hard to tell, RSE and FRLG have slightly different themes). The song was sooooo dragged out
12. Song 50 on the second part of the DP collection or the difficult contest song (I dont know if it really is because I suck at contests) - great dance song
13. The worker theme - I liked it so much I titled it "THE BEST DAMN SONG" on my computer. It's even better in the anime. Unfortunately I dont have the anime copy : (
14. Pokemon Center (Night) - so relaxing... reminds me of the country
15. Galaxy Grunt and Final Battle - great songs
16. Wild battle - as commonly heard as it is, I love it to death
17. Trainer battle - only the beginning though, Shinji nostalgia
18. The Windmill route song - calming
19. Masago town song (night) - charming and kawaii
20. Amity Square - surreal, dreamy and romantic
21. PokeRadar - although it's short, it's an interesting tune

As you can tell from this list, I really do love these songs. And these are only my favorite. I have a lot more that I just like listening to.

I was so-so for the Rt. 209 music, but when I heard the enhanced version in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I was stunned. It can sound really good. Though I wish they had the Rt. 206 one though. Rt. 201 sounds nice well in the anime. Sandgem Town's music surprises you with the way it goes. It starts off differently. And Team Galactic's battle theme sounds so cool in Brawl. Ten times better.

One of them I really don't like is the Dialga/Palkia theme.

Now that I've made my mind up a bit..

I like the Lake Trio theme, as well as the Dialga/Palkia battle theme.

The Champion battle theme and the Elite Four/Gym battle themes are also nice, fit their respective battles.

All the Galactic themes are okay. Some routes are also nice to listen to, but I won't start searching around to pick their numbers. -_-

Well, I'm not as fond of DP's music as much as RSE's, but let's see the list..

They're not in order.

* The three lakes' music. It just sounds so.. pretty.
* Underground. I'm.. not exactly sure why I love it so much, but it's catchy. XD
* Snowpoint City. It keeps reminding me of Animal Crossing for some reason, and it has a bit of a quiet feel to it.
* Resort Area. I think it's the Valor Lakefront's hotel's music too, though.
* Like a lot of the people here, Jubilife's one of my favorites too.
* Galactic Battle is up there on my favorites as well, though absolutely nothing beats Team Magma/Aqua hideout's music as far as evil team music goes. >:O

There's probably some other ones there too, but I haven't played DP in a long time.

Underground music is neat, think it sounds similar to route 111 in R/S/E music or something. I also like 3 lakes music :)

I did a detailed breakdown of the campion music months ago on another forum.
Will post it here now.

0:00 - 0:03
You can can almost HEAR the trainer's '''glulp'' h-here goes..
The sounds stand for the unreal feeling:there is no way back now.

0:03- 0:39
BAM! the battle starts.
A heavy beat is the music now,
This stands for pure stress, like it,s driving exam or something.
YOU are reponsible.
YOU want to win.
any mistake will result in loss, and heavy pain for your pokemon.
The battle is now going on in full force, and both sides are dealing heavy blows.

but,within this despair,you here a more epic,positive tone.
This is it! The final moment!
Exitement fills the trainer and his pokemon.
The music keeps going in this weird mix, with increasing positiveness,as fury of battle swells on.

0:39 -1:10

A strange calmness fills the trainer.
You aren,t doing bad,a slight sparkle of hope.
The battle rages on,and all finds a strange rythmim.
The trainer feels weird,I am now fighting the champion..
Emotionons slowly are peaking.

1:10-1:25

Then you suddenly almost lose hope,as you are taking hard choices and risky plans are carried out by your partners.
At 1:20 the trainer almost want to yield,to this storm in his heart to end..
With his last willpower he carries on,and the tune loops... into victory... or cold loss..

I love to analyse things a bit.

Man, how do I follow that? I like the music when you ride your bike -- it's so joyful and energetic. Route 209's music is really pretty, as is the music at the three lakes.

My favourite is the Eterna Forest music.

I also like the azelf/uxie/mesprit theme as well as the Snowpoint and gamecorner themes.

Re: Music in Diamond and Pearl

my name should be a clue to one of my faves... but I like pretty much all of the battle themes. :spin:
