Hi there

Some random user decided to put the article I wrote on Pokemon Rebirth up for deletion, stating that its against policy to have an article written about a fan site.

Now did Bulbapedia suddenly change its views on comprehensively listing fansites and ditch Project Fandom, or have I just become subject to opinion-driven trolling?

I'd appreciate some feedback from an admin on this, thanks.

Ok.
Fanfictions are banned from bulbapedia. So why would we have an article describing a Fan fic? And one thats not even that notable?

And..

The rule of thumb for many of these subjects is thus: to the average online Pokémon fan, would this article likely be useful as something to inform them more about something they have already heard about, or would it mostly likely only serve to advertise the subject? Bulbapedia's intent is to be an informative resource, not an advertising agency, so the potential to become notable though means such as said article is not the same as already being notable.

The alternate rule of thumb is such: is this subject notable enough to have an article created on it by someone besides the fan (or close friends of the fan) who is the subject or creator of the subject?
This Article is not useful, it ADVERTISING a fanfic. And You created it, correct? Are you not the creator?

Ahh...so you claimed deletion because the article is reading like an advertisement. Heh, that's fair enough.

I had debated the point of a Bulbapedia entry on Rebirth, especially in highlighting the fact that I can't really describe much about the project besides what I aim to achieve with it. It's a constantly changing work in progess which doesn't really suit Wiki criteria.

No probs, then. Thanks for clearing that up for me. ^-^

Just wanna say that you handled this issue in a very mature way. For anyone else who's had their article deleted and doesn't understand why, instead of jumping down our throats, this is the way to do it. Way to go.
