Did Nintendo WiFi eat my Pokemon?

I had a spare Wooper up on the global trade system, and I swear, I didn't take it back or anything, but apparently I'm currently not offering any Pokemon. I mean, it's no big deal, but I don't wanna have something important on there and have it disappear.

I've only had the game for like a week and a half. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I'm certain I didn't take it off the server, because I still only have one Wooper in Bebe's PC box (I had two at one point). I also don't have the Pokemon I asked for (Azurill, stupid trade, I know, but I don't have one and thought it was a pretty equal and fair trade).

It's happened to me before as well. I simply disconnected and reconnected and my Pokémon returned. I do not know why the gltich occurs.

Same for me. I thought I'd screw around with it. When I look at the summary the pokemon appears just fine, then the button changes to Deposit Pokemon. I tried uploading a Bidoof then "Communication Error." appeared, but the button was still "Deposit Pokemon." The GTS is screwy.

It said in the D/P booklet if you leave your Pokemon in the GTS too long it might disapear. But, you said you didn't have your game too long. Maybe the booklet says something else on it.

I think I know what causes the summary button to change to deposit button.
This always happens to me AFTER completing a trade on the GTS.I think this happens so you can view the stats of the pokemon you just traded for without having to log off the GTS.

I've heard that sometimes hacked pokemon that are offered can disappear. However, that usually never happens. And that's happened to me before, I just disconnected and reconnected and it came back. One time, when I checked the summary, it even showed a pokemon that wasn't mine! Silly GTS.

Yeah, I got my Wooper back now. I put up another Pokemon for trade. Guess it's just weird like that.

Hmmm... Maybe that's what happened to me. I put up a shiny mew from Route 201 I got from a trade on the GTS.

I had a spiritomb disapear on me once, then it returned as a Houndour holding a Dawn Stone. After I checked a third time it was back to normal. Apparantly this happened to a couple other people as well.
