Did Platinum Get Boring To You After a While?

It did for me, cuz its pretty much Diamond and Pearl with a little twist on it that kind of doesn't matter.

Before I got Platinum, I owned Pearl, but it didn't get boring for me. IT was actually the other way around. For some reason, around the time I had already acquired the Rock Climb HM and was on the way to Volkner's Gym that I suddenly felt bored playing Pokemon, which is weird since I've always enjoyed playing the games since my Yellow.

Anyway, as a result of that, I dropped playing Pearl and, before I knew it, a year or two had already passed. That's when I saw Platinum was already available and decided to buy it around March of this year, and I've never gotten bored with it again. Up to now, I still wonder what suddenly made the game unappealing for me back then...

Well Platinum was the first fourth gen game I owned, so no, it didn't get boring. I've just recently stopped playing every day because I completed the pokedex.

As for the story, that didn't really have time to get boring for me because I beat it in 20 hours after playing almost non stop. I actually just got Pearl so I could slow down and go through the story at a reasonable pace.

It didn't get boring to me, but it stopped feeling particularly unique. They shouldn't have dropped the whole scattered snow thing right after the first route like they did. It would have justified the outfit change a bit more.

Pearl did for me, but Platinum did not as much, plus with frontier, its less boring. If it feels boring, stop playing for a little bit and then go back a while later, see how you feel. I am replaying FR again cause I got bored with Platinum for a while.

I'm really getting bored......I feel like going back to Diamond to complete the national pokedex. And as I'm playing Platinum, most of my important pokemon are on Diamond. Back to Diamond for me. Or I'll stop playing the games until Heart Gold. Who knows?

I never felt bored playing Platinum, they introduced new characters, that Distortion World, and an extra battle with Cyrus(albeit too easy). Eevees were included before the national dex and of course the frontier. But I'm taking a break right now to play mystery dungeon, and then I guess I'll take on the frontier.

I figured it would, so I didnt waste my money. Im fine with Pearl, thanks.

only because all the prep work for fielding a competitive Wi-fi team (breeding for natures and moves, IV breeding, EV training...) is quite tedious to me. Otherwise, no it hasn't.

not really. Since I have the frontier and villa decorations. Although it's too bad I can't play the slots in the game corner anymore :/

The good thing is I got my parents to buy it for me incase I didnt like it.
@Shinx3000, thank you for the advice. I'll try that. I havent played Platinum for about 3 weeks.
Plus, I was planning to transfer all my Pokes from Diamond, but I lost Diamond, and I'm really depressed about that.

Honestly it has gotten boring, but it's not because it's bad, no no no, it's because I've already played the other two so many times for so long now that it got boring, same would happen if I played D/P again. But it has certain little quirks that make it more enjoyable that the other two.

Yeah, Platinum did get pretty boring to me. :/ I stopped playing weeks ago. As soon as I beat the E4, I was pretty much unenthusiastic about everything that happens afterward. I guess it was because I had already played Pearl a few times so I wasn't really interested anymore, which is pretty much what Kameinu said.

This is why I stopped buying the third versions of each game.

If you had DP, you're really buying the same game again that's about 90% the same and only 10% new stuff.

Plus excluding the Battle Frontier from DP just to put it in Platinum was a pretty bad move.

To be honest, I haven't actually touched my platinum game in over a month.

It's kinda sad to. I really want to finish my Diamond and Platinum games so I can freely transfer all my mons from my GBA games and start them over. But right now it seems like I'm only focusing on training monsters. (Right now I'm training a Flygon and Kingdra.)

Ironically enough, I've started playing my Emerald game more.

Yeeeeah I really kinda regret buying it now. Damn alternate forms encouraging my to buy it out of some unexplainable need for completion. But reality and spending leisure time on other things that I haven't done before takes priority.

Just look at how erratically I've played the thing, based off the dates I've captured Pokémon:
March 22
May 9
May 10
May 11
June 8
June 18

And I only just got the second Gym badge this morning. Yeah. I'm only playing it now out of a desire to get it done with before HGSS come out. Not that there's any need to hurry, but still.
