Many schools back in the good old days of Pokémon banned it all together. My school did. I brought in some cards to trade and battle with b/c school was boring. And i got caught and i got wrote up.

No one ever knew of my forbidden relationship with Pokémon, since I never had anything to do with it in public.

Oh yeah :p I remember smuggling pokemon cards into school!

haha its like this one kid this is true it was like one of those people on the street, he had the coat and open it up and he said "i got the goods" he had charizard's to mew's. his prices were actually good.

Well, I'm partly responsible for cards being banned from all school buses. Heh.

But no, Pokemon thrived at school until the kids figured it wasn't cool anymore.

Me and a friend once got in trouble for having our Pokemon figures at school. Other than that, not really. d:

I was already in college when it came out in the US, so no, I can honestly say I never did. Although I remember in the days of GSC having a conversation with someone on campus about the merits of Croconaw while we waited for the bus.

Well, this guy tried to scam me before with this fake pokemon card back in primary school. You know, those they print themselves. I'm sure I'm not the only one who encountered those back in the days. Point being that I declined it, obviously, since it was a fake. A few days later my cousin who is 7 years younger had the card. So I knew instantly when I asked him how he got it, that he was scammed. So I went to that guy he traded it with and a whole lot of ruckus came after it. We didn't fight or anything over a bunch of cards, but when he started yelling at me when I took my cousins card away from him and the teacher noticed... bah, had to clean up after class. XD

You remember the Pokémon Pikachu? It was a cross between a pedometer and a virtual pet, with said virtual pet being Pikachu, naturally. The more steps you took, the more points you earned, which could be given to Pikachu as a gift in order to get it to like you more. Anyway, a friend and I each had one, and for a while we'd bring them to school. One day, he and I were picked to serve as hall moniters of sorts, and while we were waiting in the school's office, we shook our Pokémon Pikachus so that the number of steps on the pedometer would increase. We were caught because the shaking noises were so goddamn loud and warned that if we kept that up, they'd be taken away from us.

We behaved from then on. XD

Well, no, but in elementary school, a lot of my friends and I traded cards while we were in class, but usually only when the teacher was out of the classroom. We never got caught though.

I don't really bring any games or anything to school now.

Earlier this year I were playing poker in school and the teacher told me to put away my DS, it had platinum in it.

In elementary school we were not allowed to trade cards. It was because stupid kids kept coming to teachers to help them get a trade back after they were swindled. Did I stop trading in school? No. Was I part of the reason they were banned? Definitely.

I started with a Metapod that I found on the recess blacktop and had a collection of hundreds of cards including many holos just from trading. I never bought a single pokemon card. I swindled many a small child. I wouldn't do anything like that now days, but I really didn't think what I was doing was wrong in any way at the time.

I was in kindergarten and they banned us from "playing" Pokemon. You know, we would pretend we were the Pokemon. They called it "violent". In second grade, I brought my GBC in and battled other kids. Again, I got it banned from school. I should have just stayed quiet, rather than screaming out "Charizard killed you Pidgeot!". Why couldn't I have chosen better words?

I did however get away with bringing in Pokemon figures for show-and-tell in Kindergarten. We would have a letter every week, so I brought in a Pokemon every week.

I did bring some of my cards and my brother's gameboy with yellow in it during Kindergarden, I didn't get in trouble or caught with the cards, but I did get my brother's gameboy taken up. Boy, he was pissed off. xD

I would "play" Pokemon too, but I didn't get in trouble. We even made imaginary pokemon and all. Good ol'e days.

My brother, who's actually my uncle, owned the cards and he never let me had them. I only had like two cards,I got them from one of those toy machines that you put quarters into, and I gave them to him. He still won't let me have them, even though he's over Pokemon, and I'm the one collecting cards.

I never played the games until 2005,and even then I stopped after I bought Colloseum until 2008.

Last year,I brought my DS too school, but I didn't get in trouble, even though I played it in the lunchroom.

However, other kids got in trouble with their DS-es. However, they were playing Mario Kart, and it was usually in class.

I remember this other time back when Diamond ands Pearl first we were having study hall in the cafteria (it's what they did if they didn't have any subs) and a kids was playing diamond and everyone was crowding around him, the teacher didn't really seem to care.

Huh, funny I don't remember Pokemon ever being banned at my schools. 'Course, when pokemon first came out; I was in my final year of middle school. Then High School, no one cares; just as long as you don't do it in class. And in college, your lucky if the professors remember your name at big campuses, let alone care about what your doing behind your desk.

Don't worry, it'll get better. Your not in school forever. Just hide it in your locker or backpack, and trade or play during break or lunch. Or if your really paranoid, just don't bring them to school! There are always the weekends and holidays to play. Trust me, I once thought that school would last forever; but it goes by fast. The amount of time your in class, to the time you have afterward, there's plenty of time to be Pokemon-ing later...

Though I must admit, I like to play when I'm at work when there is nothing else going on. ;)

Back in elementary school I used to be addicted to the game, I would play it everywhere, even in class..
Even when the teachers told me to stop I didn't listen, and I always refused to give them my gameboy. One day I even ran away when they tried to take it. XD
I almost got suspended because of that. X_x
