Did your save file ever become corrupt?

No I've never had a corrupt save file, I even used to catch missingno and was fine despite all the doomsayers my game would be wrecked.

One time in Diamond when walking through walls, I did save in a wall, and when I restarted my sprite was just in a completely black place and seemingly unable to move(kept getting the hit a wall sound any direction I took) even with walk through walls on, but I was able to use another code to fix the problem.

The code was meant to put you into any town in the game, instead what it did, was just changed the little title card at the top to say you were in that town, once the game thought I was outside, it allowed me to use fly to a city, and then from then on all was back to normal.

My very first game, Pokémon Pearl, became corrupted one day, but I have no idea how. I'd never tried to hack it or do anything unusual with it. It just happened and I need to save twice in order for it to retain my data. Ever since then I've been paranoid about another game randomly corrupting so I save twice after doing anything important.

Pokemon LeafGreen, guess it was a pirated copy since I tried to import my Pokemon there to Pearl. From there on, never bought games from flea market, lol.

My save file has only ever become corrupted once from me telling a friend that she doesn't need to save so she turned the power off while saving but luckily the last time the file was saved was used to back up the file so I didn't have to start the game again.

Luckily never, dunno if this can be called crash, but once I was playing FireRed and wanted so bad to have cash to buy the casino coins (I didn't know much 'bout this at that time, so don't tell I could have catched any poke xD),so I used the AR to have 99 of one item (in my case calcium), but forgot to erase the code, and it scew up all my item.. Almost all of them changed to calcium and had x0, so no matter if I store 'em in the box or sell 'em, they kept appearing xD.
Me too, lost my Silver save when the battery died (RIP Lugia, typhlosion and all my pokés -_-)

Playing a old copy of Emerald. I think the prongs on the cartridge were dusty or something and the save kept corrupting itself. Farthest I got was the 1st gym. Then I sold it to Gamestop for $8. I'm a horrible person. :-|

As far as I remember my files only became corrupted in the first two generations.
Several times during Gen I due to messing up with the triple speed feature in Pokémon Stadium, once trying to exploit a save glitch to clone Master Balls that backfired on me and that one time when it just plain happened. It also happened during Gen II once due to internal battery failure.

I did a trade on Pokemon Stadium 2 between red and crystal and then it said it could not save the data, reinsert the cartridges and try again. I tried multiple times and it did not work, then when i played each of them it said the data is corrupt and needs to be deleted.
I have also had false data is corrupt messages before, it seems to be a problem with one of my transfer paks not reading the save sometimes

I hacked my whole Pearl game almost in and out one time, But it never got corruped though, never happend with me in any games. But Im afraid it will someday, so Im gonna quickly transfer my wanted pokemon from all games to Pokemon Bank when it is up and going.

-I still haven't restarted that Pearl file with all the hacks, since I have three legal shinies in there, I want to transfer, but does anyone know if Pokemon Bank can detects hacking in the game and then will not allow anything from that file to be transfered. I heard that P-Bank will not allow hacked Pokemon. Im not interested in transfering hacked pokemon anyway, but it can be a problem, if it doesn't allow anything from that file, since I have used many hack codes on it.

When I was on the GTS on Pearl once and tried to do a trade, I got kicked out of it and my game crashed. I killed the power and tried to restart my game but was told that the previous data had been corrupted and everything would restart from the previous save point. I didn't lose anything because of this but it did freak me out so badly that I didn't go on GTS for a while.

I did lose my entire save file while playing Pokemon Colloseum; it was because of the stupid game card I had chosen. Never buy anything that isn't licensed by Nintendo. Just trust me on that. (RIP my poor Entei...)

Action Replay caused my save file to crash using an emulator, which is better than having my actual game cartridge get corrupt.

same thing happened to me with colosseum and all my other gc games on the card ><

I haven't experienced a save file crash. I did restart Pokemon Yellow and replaced the battery however to prevent anything in the future. Now I can at least play Pokemon yellow for another 7 or so years before I need to replace the battery again.

My Pokémon Gold save file became corrupted once due to a bad contact between my Transfer Pak and the N64 controller while saving in Pokémon GB Tower. I think it was the easiest way to corrupt a save file in the first generations, since Transfer Pak used to get bad contact all the time.

My Pokemon Diamond got courrputed due to me misusing the Action Replay and I needed to restart the game, which brought me to tears sense I had, like, all the Pokemon from my Emerald on there... I still use the Action Replay though, but I only do it on the games I don't care about (not my main games), and I'm wary of the cheats I use.

And for my Emerald, well, I didn't use a cheat device, but the save file got corrupt and deleted itself... three times. The weirdest thing about it, is that the save file would get deleted, then after powering it off, and blowing on the cartrage and nicking it aginst something to get the dirt and stuff out (I did the same for my Gameboy Advance SP), the save file would magically appear back, all fine and dandy. It's really weird.

My very first Silver file deleted itself for no apparent reason back in 2001 (although I did do that clone glitch with the saving while transfering boxes... was that the reason? I tried it successfully multiple times). I had 16 badges and was gearing up for Red. I restarted it with less emotion than I had the first time around.

I totally hacked up my HG with AR. It might have made some weird lines on the upper screen too. Eventually I restarted it. I felt so...clean.
My Platinum could turn off at random times, which was super annoying once because I was in Jubilife City and I hadn't saved yet. One time it actually shut off while I was saving the game. When I first tried to load it, it said it was corrupt...but it's fine.

I've had it say corrupted a times but usually reseting a few times would sort it for some reason. I remember once it said it corrupted and then randomly loaded from like half way through the game where I had only a Grovyle (my team was level 100). Reseting set it back to normal but it was a massive wtf.
