The question here is if we should create sprites of the different patterned Butterfree and Vileplume. Here's the controversy: Pokémoon with many different patterns, like Spinda, should be made. But in this case with Butterfree and Vileplume, they aren't just different patterned, but different colored. So we need to see your views on this situation.

I, as the ide generator say go for it because, Butterfree, for example, has its wings with a completely different color.

Do it, although I am biased, it is a permanent change to their bodies, and the others of their species probably have the same exact design, unlike Spinda

Could you specify what the problem with Butterfree and Vileplume is? Where would these sprites be used?

THE CSP page. BTWI had another idea. That was the reason forthe2x post, AND THEY WERE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN CONTENT!

We will find the right page. It's much like how it shows all the cloned Pokemon on that one Mewtwo page.

You haven't answered my question. I still don't know what you are trying to ask. Where, specifically, in the franchise do these different patterns appear?

There is no reason for a double post to be necessary. There's not even reason to be upset - that was just a warning, not an infraction.

They appear in the Orange Islands, when we meet Ivy.

And how many times did they appear after that? And did anyone catch them? Where would they be used on Bulbapedia?

We use them on PCS! Duh! Sure, they didn't appear after that but the project is to represent many of the permanent designs of anime Pokémon!

It is an official BP project, apporoved by TTEchidna and Kenji-girl, if u've got a problem, mail Tavis and me

Stop playing that record.

If they have no use in an article. They have no use being in the archive. This custom sprite thing is getting way out of hand.

And honestly, would it kill you to write "you"? Stop being lazy. D:

STOP!!!! Guys, drop it! This isn't the place for an argument. TTEchidna simply told me to start this thread to see people's views, not to argue, alright? If you don't think it belongs, just say so and don't make a big deal out of it. It you agree, alright, just don't start arguing with the ones who don't. Everyone has their right to say what they want to; don't try to change their views. I understand that there isn't a main space page to put them on, but there can always be a page made to talk about Pokémon like this in the future. We could at least upload them to Photobucket or something first. but the thing I'm trying to ask is if we should consider CREATING them, not POSTING them. Posting is a different matter...hey! I just noticed! They are using the sprites on the Pokénib Wikia!

Wow. I'm on the forum.

Anyway, some of you are missing the point to why the custom sprite project was started. To make custom sprites for the trainers of unique Pokemon. The point is not to make the for the Custom Sprite Project's page. If nobody owned the differently patterened Butterfree, then there is no point in making the sprite.

Please don't forget why it was started. To add to trainer articles. Not to show off your sprite editing skills.

Hmm...

The Spinda formes are randomly generated. I have seen repeated patterns here and there (the torse and legs have, apparently, only 2 combinations) but I have to check it out.

Yellowwing Butterfree is a definite no-no. I believe it only appeared once?

Heh, at this rate, we might as well put an Ashley sp...I didn't say ANYTHING.

I wasn't trying to start any arguments. I was just tryin to point out Why we make them

Over 4 billion of them. If you see any repeat it's because they differ ever so slightly.

So I guess we're not doing the Butterfree and Vileplume then. I really don't mind, I just want to do what others would like...that's why this thread is up.....get it? So after reading all your responses and "arguments" it doesn't seem like they are worth to be created. So like I told Kuki at the very beginning, when he brought up this idea, there is no reason to create things that have MANY patterns, it's not that good. But the reason I decided to bring it up anyways is because of the argument that it is colored differently. If we weren't to AT LEAST bring this idea up, it won't be fair to Kuki. Saturn's Toxicroak, for example, is different colored (some say). So when I thought of things in Kuki's perspective, I thought something like this, "If an alt colored Toxicroak is made, why shouldn't Butterfree and Vileplume be made?"....you get that?
Oh, and by that way, someone's gotta fix the argument over at Ash's Turwig page and the DP100 page....it's going crazy the last time I was there....yes, worst than this, I could say.
