Different starters

A thread to post what you are using if your not going to use your starter, since you can trade eggs to other games and the baby will obey you.. I'm either using a trapinch, cranidos or lickitung, if I decide not to use my starter.

Well... I AM going to use my starter until Goldenrod. Then I'll just be breeding more Houndours, Eevees, Trapinches, Nidorans, Scythers, and Sneasels.

I'm using my starter for the whole game,but I am trading over 5 pokemon from Platinum to use on my team with my starter.

I'll trade an Eevee to get an early on Jolteon. And I will use Cynda all game, but may trade over a Poemon if I need help.

I'll use my starter, but I'm most likely going to trade other eggs over for whatever else I want on my team that you can't get early in the game. I'll still stick to Johto Pokemon, though.

Grass-types FTW! I might trade over a Turtwig egg also, and maybe I'll trade over a Swablu egg.

Well, because I'm a cool kid and this will make the game super easy, I'll start with Cynderquil cause I love it, but as soon as I can trade over an untrained Chikorita, and train them both up, therefore the rival won't be too much of a trouble.

I'm not trading over a Totodile though because that would make it too easy...

hmm.. though I guess technically it wasn't from the start... I more or less used the Togepi that I got from the egg in Violet City as my "starter" throwing away my Chikorita From the time I got it to the end of the game I basically treated it as my starter or "first" Pokemon
