Digimon Adventure Is Finally Out On DVD In The US

A great thing happened for Digimon fans a few weeks ago. Season 1 of the show (Adventure) made its full DVD debut in the US. Previously only the first 13 episodes were available here. I got the set the other day, and I must say audio & video quality is amazing. The show never looked or sounded better. For all of you who want to know, this set is English dub only, so if you're a fan of the Japanese version this set isn't for you. What is strange though is that the booklet included has the Japanese names for the Digimon's attacks and English translations of Butterfly, Brave Heart & Keep On on the back. Saban re edited some episodes after 9/11 like the episode where Megadramon & Gigadramon destroyed a city all scenes of that were removed. From what I have heard this set has the pre-9/11 versions of the episodes.

......................ok i am SO glad i'm going downtown tomorrow because i want this!! i have a bunch of VHS tapes of the series but i always wanted a complete collection, even if it is DVD (i collect VHS so don't judge me)

Meh, too bad that this is only the dub. I avoid the Adventure/02 dubs like the plague. Wish they'd get an official release with sub/dub. I may actually look into picking something like that up.
