Discuss the Digimon anime here, from Adventure to Savers, and any theories about future seaons, here.

My favorite season was Frontier, and I made a sequel fanfic to it called Digimon Heroes. I will post my new revision of it in the fanfic board.

I also like Savers, my second favorite season.

Adventure and Zero Two are tied as number three.

Tamers wasn't that bad, but it wasn't my favorite either.

I liked Adventure the best, then Adventure 02, then Savers, then Tamers, then Frontier. I hated Frontier and lost interest of Tamers after those stupid Bio-Merge things. I always thought it would be cool, but when I saw it, I realized Digimons and humans are never meant to be one.

I stopped watching Frontier after the first episode.

Yeah, Digimons is the plural form!

Digimons is plural? I swore it wasn't (maybe you're joking and I don't get it). Anyways, I haven't got into Savers yet. I saw the first epps and thought it was good, but didn't end up watching it anyways (I do this a lot though...). My favorite series was Taimers. Many because I like the designs of all the main monsters: guilmon, renamon, terriermon, impmon, justicemon etc. Also I liked some of the monsters introduced in the movies like kotemon and kumamon (maybe that was fronteir though.. can't remember). It probably was my favorite monsters (until a few new ones came out like dorumon and kudamon)

I thought fronteir was okay, I think I watched them all, but I remember it feeling like power rangers to me though..

The only thing I wished for the series is that they didn't have the 'clone' digimon, or atleast not as many as they do (and that they weren't featured as much as in the game), and for a solid evolution line. That annoys me with the games is that if it isn't a main character (and even if it is sometimes) the evoline is changed such that you don't know what goes to what anymore.

I think Savers looks neat, but I'm to busy to watch it...so I'll wait for the dub.

I liked Season 4, up until it became the Takuya/Kouji show...

I LOVED Sora though...she kinda was a role model for me. :p

Digimons is the plural form; I'm not kidding. I saw it in a Digimon Colouring Book I won in Grade 4. I'm also sure they used it in the shows and games.

Digital Monsters

Oops, typo on colouring *FIXED

There were many. I chose the one with TK on the front. My favourite page was the one when I could design my own Digimon. It looked really stupid, and my more recent Digimon I make are a lot better.

As for the digimons/digimon thing... I haven't heard "digimons" used in anything post-dating the Devimon arc, though I'd understand if there was promotional material from around then using it. I can't recall it being used in 02 or later 01, and think it went the way of Mimi's younger brother. :p

(I'm an adventure fan, basically. And long tired of the "which season is better" discussion. :p)

I'm an Adventure fan but I've never had the chance to give proper judgement to the other seasons.

But Adventure was a great series.

"Digimons"? That was never used in the dub as the plural (maybe in early Adventure or something. I never watched the English dub of early Adventure). I don't think I ever saw it on merchandise and games either. And heavens know some of the American merchandise and the translated games have awful crap in them (the 02 merchandise boxes had Kyo or something like that rather than Yolei on the back, didn't it? And it's rather startling to see Creepymon used in Digimon World DS rather than Daemon).

Anyway. 02 fan here. Most of my favorite characters are from there, and I really liked the plot, even if it was full of holes (if you think I'm lame for that, keep it to yourselves). I also like Adventure quite a bit, though not as much as 02. I love most of the characters from Tamers and Frontier, though I have no love for the last arc of each series (D-Reaper Arc for Tamers, Royal Knights Arc for Frontier). With Tamers, I didn't mind Matrix Evolution, but the D-Reaper was a terrible villain and all the wangst it brought was uncalled for. As for Frontier, well... it really did become tedious to sit through episode after episode of the Royal Knights kicking Takuya and Kouji's asses while the other kids were seriously neglected (except for Kouichi. I love Kouichi, but the whole Wonder Twins thing was nuts). As for Savers... I absolutely loathe Savers and pretty much want to punch every character in the series in the face (save for Ikuto, Agumon and Kamemon, because I actually like them, and Satsuma, as he doesn't really offend me as much as the other characters).

I got sick of Savers after about 6 or so eps. I didn't see the one when Mr. Rich Guy had to disguise as Masaru, but I saw everything before it.

I was already sickn of the basic formula. Masaru and someone get into some kind of fight, a Digimon attacks the city, and the he needs to resove with whoever before he can capture the Digimon and send it back to the Digi-World.

Tohma (or, as you call him, Mr. Rich Guy... I prefer Tonma) never had to disguise as Masaru. In episode seven, he had to fill in for Masaru and take his younger sister, Chika, to an amusement park to celebrate her birthday. Masaru had to be in school to do over an exam he failed, I'm pretty sure.

The formula was sort of broken in episode 12, when the actual plot of the stupid series started. By then, I was just too fed up with Masamoron, Tonma and Useless Chick What'sherface (yes, I know her name is Yoshino, I just don't care) to care about the plot.

I have a few theories abotu a Season 6. It will probably be a Savers sequel, and the main hero might have a Veemon (with a different, and maybe new, Digivolution line), and hoepfully, Monmon/Koemon will be in it as one of the main Digimon, because they never really gave him any major appearances other than Digimon World 3, and that he's totally awesome, especially his Digivolutions. About the new Digimon games Sunburst and Moonlight, I have to admit, they look like an improvement from thee laready great Digimon World DS. I have a Digimon RP forum, too! It's http://www.digimonstoryrpg.proboards83.com

I don't want to make theories about the sixth series before we actually get information about it. All we know by now is that there WILL be one eventually, but we don't know when, exactly. Traditionally, information about a new series starts popping up on December, about four months before it starts airing. That's what happened with Frontier and Savers, at the very least. Unfortunately, we don't have any information about a sixth anime yet. =/

In any case, I doubt they'll use V-mon and Koemon... the Digimon in Savers are all new Digimon or redesigned old Digimon with new evolution lines.

I didn't know there was a new set of games announced? Are they still DS? PS2? I just hope they feature all the monsters this time, and actually do Digivolving like in the show.

Having a level 99 puyomon that can kick war greymon, seraphymon, azulongmon, etc.'s ass is nice, but I like the monster raising style of the TV show too.

Yup! The new games are still on the DS. Can't see why not. They are called Digimon Story Sunburst and Digimon Story Moonlight, and both have different stories. Well... it's actually the same story from two different points of view. It seems that you don't really have a choice of a first Digimon this time; in Sunburst, you receive a new Digimon named Coronamon, and in Moonlight, you receive another new Digimon, Lunamon. However, you can still get all the other Digimon on your version, just with the occasional variation in rarity. And you can be sure there will be some extra Digimon, like the Savers Digimon's Ultimates.

There's also a PS2 game which is supposedly decent, but it has to do too much with the Savers anime, so I'm not sure we'll be seeing it in the west anytime soon.

I'm not too interested in the PS2 game, anyway... it doesn't have Arukenimon or Mummymon. At least in the Digimon Story series, I can train my very own Arukenimon and Mummymon with absolutely monstrous stats. =D

Digimon Story was really fun. I just wish they let you have more and bigger farms, with more digital pet features. Still, I think I did something wrong when I was playing it. After a certain point in time my Digimon all went, basically, super saiyamon. I had to level them down to get to the mega level, but even then they were so strong. Maybe it was because of looking for scan data, or the de-evolution stuff, but they were basically indistructible and super speedy. I cruised through the rest of the game without them taking any significant damage ever (Though I think the final boss knocked someone out once, I didn't feel like healling so it got a surprise critical hit, maybe not...)

Figures a Digimon topic would pop up while I was gone. I love Digimon, and I've cosplayed two characters from it! (Yukio Oikawa from 02 and JP from Frontier)

My favorite Digimon is Datirimon, even though it lacks an evo line.
