This is old news, but there didn't seem to be a thread for it.

Discuss the upcoming "Digimon Data Squad" here.
 
That... oh, right, Savers getting dubbed and all that. That's a highly tentative title, though, isn't it?

It's extremely funky, how it's getting a different name and logo from all the other series. That's a good thing, really. Separating the first four series from this tripe like that.
 
They're not even sure whether they'll have Disney (who bought out Saban halfway through Tamers) dub it or not.

I personally hope not. FUNimation is the studio I want to see dub it. I know they redo the music and everything, but I usually never minded the Digimon music being replaced anyway, and FUNimation usually still keeps the Japanese songs if they don't translate them.
 
FUNi? As if. The American distribution rights of Digimon are still owned by Disney, and they're perfectly happy with using the same VAs that were used when Digimon was still owned by Saban. If you want to figure out who may work in the Savers dub, just look at any and all dubs produced by Studiopolis Inc., especially anything involving Jeff Nimoy. Mr. Nimoy is the one you have to answer to as he almost certainly will direct the Savers dub, if and when it will get licensed.

Mark my words: Steve Blum, Jamieson Price and Kirk Thornton will be in this semi-hypothetical dub.
 
Given that they've taken to renaming the series(and Tohma as well, from what I've heard) I'm not particularly excited about this, and am fairly worried about the likelihood of a legitimate subbed release. Just hoping the rest *does* get subbed, right now, despite this fact.

4Kids has never had anything to do with Digimon, and they're not going to start now. Trashtalking has its place, but use common sense.

If the WtW poll has any say in the dub, Jamieson Price will be Satsuma. Which makes me all giggly.
 
Yay.

I couldn't watch the raws really because I was pre-filled with my usual shows (Pokemon and Yugioh), and the dub of the past seasons never bother me so yay!

Savers looked pretty cool...and that was judging the filler episodes. The plot episodes look pretty neat.
 
I watched the subs.

I'll say almost every episode was the same, at least for the first ten or so episodes. I didn't watch beyond there, I'm waiting for Data Squad.
 
I watched the first episode raw, and didn't like how Agumon's partner punched out a Digimon. Haven't seen anything else, waiting for Data Squad.
 
They fight together in the Data Squad series. When Masaru punches the Digimon, he gets a Data Soul or somethin' that evolves Agumon into GeoGreymon.
 
I never really liked Biomerge. I stopped watching Digimon when Biomerge was introduced.
 
Well, actually, my interest faded throughout Tamers, especially when Takato let all the kids at school know he had a Digimon, then EVERY FREAKIN' CHARACTER went to the Digital World and got there own Digimon, and after seeing Biomerge, I decided it was over for me. I hated Frontier much more, though. I couldn't stand the first episode and I couldn't stand those random ones I watched when they wer the only thing on.

You left at EXACTLY the wrong time. It starts getting good around episode... 12 or 13, don't remember which. (The whole Sayuri-and-Piyomon bit.)

Eh, I'll admit, EVERYONE GETTING A DIGIMON was very annoying.

And nobody liked Frontier. Nobody.
 
And Habunake liked Frontier. Habunake.
 
Well Habunake is no longer Bulletproof, so I shall bust a cap in her ass for liking Frontier.
