Mum takes abuse with aplomb already, so I guess. But I can't see Aru taking it that often.

A related question--how is it that BlackWarGreymon was able to recognize MaloMyotismon despite Myo/VenomMyo having been "defeated" years before BWG was created?
 
I don't think he does it that often. He'll throw some breakable thing at them every once in a while, but not enough to make them resent him. Well, in the case of Aru, she seems to resent him just a little, but she's easier to piss off. For the most part they respect him and are a bit frightened of him, so he probably only does it enough to scare the crap out of them.

When you think about it, BlackWarGreymon was MIA for over like a month or something. Maybe he learned of Vamdemon in his travels or something. And anyway, he has the ability to sense energy and identify it. BWG must've felt how ridiculously dark Vamdemon's energy is once he got to stretch a little.

Taught him? I got the impression that it was an ability he was created with. Like the glitch that gave him a "heart" also gave him this ability to sense different kinds of energy.

Well you said "maybe he learned of Vamdemon in his travels", so I was going off that.

And the heart was a glitch? I thought it was because he was part Arukenimon, who is herself part Oikawa.

I don't think so. If that kind of thing happened every time Aru Spirit Needled at things, then the kids would've felt like hell after destroying Ookuwamon. As it stands, Ookuwamon didn't have an ounce of consciousness or feelings, but BlackWarGreymon does. So it doesn't usually happen, that a Tower Digimon develops consciousness.

I really think it's because of the amount of work that went into creating BWG. I mean, one hundred Dark Towers! That's a LOT of data. That's a hundred times more than the single Dark Tower needed for an Adult Digimon, and ten times more than the ten Dark Towers needed for a Perfect. It just makes sense that this kind of thing would create a being far more sophisticated than the other Tower Digimon. Arukenimon treats it as a "glitch" because it never happened to her before... the problem is that it's untested, she never tried to create another Ultimate after her first attempt went so wrong.

UM. WHERE WAS I? Yeah what I wanted to say. It's not that there's a part of Aru in BWG, it's that he's made of a lot of components. Like... like a lot of layers. Like an onion. God, I gotta sleep.
 
I really love Digimon. I adore Rika and Ken. And really like Zoe from Frontier. Ken's story of depression reminds of Mewtwo. Digimon is less censored also thankfully. I really want to see more of it. All Digimon characters are real.

For example Zoe Orimonto is a real girl unlike the unrealistic. Dawn the 14 year old boys fap idol.

Digimon is more adult I can see that when posting on Digimon forums.

Iori's as awesome as Donkey but I don't think he's nearly as annoying. (keep in mind that I said Donkey is awesome yes)

Realistic you mean? Yes, they are. I mean for really brave anime kids that save the world, they're REALLY easy to relate to. Everyone can find someone to relate to in Digimon. Even in Frontier, which was the weakest of the first four series in terms of characterization, there are great characters who are easy to relate to. I even found myself relating to Izumi, because she's a Third Culture Kid like me. Though I admit I related to Tomoki more because he started out as a spoiled crybaby who gets bullied a lot. That was totally me as a kid!

You know what's unrealistic though? Savers. They claim it's Digimon, but everything's just too far-out to relate to anyone and that's not Digimon. And therefore I didn't like it.

(My mom wanted to name me Zoe. Or any other number of foreign names that would've seemed odd where I live. In the end she just gave me a local boys' name turned unisex and everyone thought it was awesome and followed suit and all was well.)
 
Hahaha, indeed. Thomas alone is one of the biggest Mary Sues ever. There was a passing reference to something that bugged the crap out of me--it was said in one ep that he'd driven the Mafia out of New York City.

Disregarding the fact that such a thing would be next to impossible for anyone, much less a single individual, Thomas is SEVENTEEN.
 
Seventeen? No, dude, Thoma is fourteen, same age as Masaru. And graduated from university at twelve. And is a lightweight boxer at an Olympic level. AND GETS A NOBEL PRIZE AT 19 OH MY GOD *starts sobbing*
 
Thomas is fourteen? Didn't they say he was seventeen at one point? Because he sure as hell looks older than fourteen. So does Marcus for that matter.

I thought Thomas was a year younger than Yoshino, who's 18.

At 14 their voices should still be cracking.
 
Oh, sure, they LOOK older, but that's just how anime characters are unless they're intentionally making everyone look more childish, and in that case you have 17-year-old girls looking like they're 10. *shruggity*

But yeah. Thoma is 14. Masaru is 14. They both don't act it, but jeez, no one acts like a normal human being in Savers anyway.

So! Have any of you come up with your own Digimon? I made an insect-based line, a larva to a damselfly to a mosquito to a beetle to...um...a bigger beetle.

Although I'll probably have to rename the larva since I'm positive they've already had a Larvamon by this point.
