Digimon might not be dead after all

Hello to all you Digi-Fans out there on a Pokemon forum, if you are a really huge fan we all know that Digimon Xros Wars had just premiered and the toys are starting to come out this month so I know I pre-ordered the Red mini but back to topic, we know Digimon started as the V-Pet back in 1997 which then spanned to a T.V show more toys and a comic and I forgot cards oops. In 1999 Digimon Season 1 then due to the huge success 5 more seasons premiered it looked dead after frontier (Season 4) But Savers just killed it more in my point of view, I was wondering if Xros Wars makes a big hit and hits the U.S big time then maybe Digimon would start it's reign again this time not losing intrest so quickly... what are your thoughts for this is Digimon really Dead after all around the world or can it live once again?

I noticed the characters Taiki and Akari are named after Taichi and Hikari from season 1. XD
 
This looks very much like a reboot of the series in an attempt to return to the original formula. This I like, though I doubt I'll check it out.
