Disappearing Posts?

I just noticed that I only had 800 some posts, but I remember having over 1000 a few weeks back. Is there an explanation for this?

Some posts you made are probably in a forum where they're not supposed to count to post counts, that had incorrectly been giving them before.

Yeah I noticed this as well.
When those error messages pop up (I think it's 303 or 503), and I close the window, come back online, I lose whatever I've done until the last safe log out.

Really Chebon? Hmmm....well, that'd be fixed with one post recount function then, so I'll leave that to the next scheduled maintenance.

I never use the logout function, though. I leave it on 'remember me' so I only have to use my password on other computers.

Could it be because a thread was deleted? Because I deleted an RP thread that I had substantial posts in recently.

That would indeed lose you any posts you made in that thread. Unless it was some form of soft delete, in which case I'm not sure.

No regular user can actually permanently delete a post. Hell, even the moderators can't permanently delete it, only admins can.

Having said that...yeah, a deleted thread (even the soft-delete that's the standard) could lose posts.
