The air was heavy. Eerie clouds began to form in the night sky above Pallet Town, located in the region of Kanto. The town was very hopitable and peaceful. This night however, something evil was stirring. 17 year old Ash Ketchum was asleep in his modest two story house, located just south of the towns gated entrance. Ash was stirring, tossing and turning as if he were being jostled in a crammed elevator inside the Battle Tower of the Battle Frontier. All of the sheets and blankets had been thrown off the bed, the window to his second story bedroom was ajar. A warm breeze was blowing in, soon however, the breeze cooled and began to pick up.He was dreaming, more like having a nightmare. Ash began to talk in his sleep.

" No, Misty, May, Drew!! Watch out. Behind you. Get out of the way. It's coming straight towards you. " Ash muttered, almost inaudible.

The eerie clouds had fully formed and soon, thunder began to clap. Almost exactly after the first clap of thunder, Ash sat up, beads of sweat streaming down ash's face, his white t-shirt saturated. Ash stood up and scratched his head, puzzled about what his dream was about, all he could see in his dream however was darkness, only a faint beam of light had shone, only in the distance, as if miles away from his grasp. Ash walked over to the open window and leaned on hs windowsill. He gazed out into the distance, lightning flashed for miles around. Then, suddenly, rain began to fall, heavily. The wind began to gust more and more. Ash's attention now turned to his dask. His first pokemon, Pikachu was sitting, a worried expression covered his face. Pikachu looked like a large, yellow rat with tall, pointy ears. Pokemon, especially Pikachu, could sense the thoughts and emotions of their trainers, but even more, nature. Pikachu jumped down from the desk and ran over to ash. He began to tug on the leg of his pajamas and when ash shifted his attention back to the window, an enormous tornado was headed straight towards the town. The tornado was currently ravaging Viridian City, but Ash could see it as clear as day. Ash ordered Pikachu to alert his mother, Delia, in the next room of the impending doom and told him to take her to the basemet while he alerted his neighbor, professor Oak. Ash grabbed his gym badges, trophies, backpack, and sneakers, put the sneakers on and ran down the stairs and out the door towards the Pokemon Lab. Professor Oak researched pokemon and was the leading pokemon authority in the world. He was elderly, but could still put up a good fight, especially with his pokemon by his side. Finally, Ash reached the lab. He frantically rang the doorbell, no answer. Ash walked around the lab, actually it was more like a sprint. When he reached the back of the lab, he discovered an open window. He crawled into the lab and found himself in the kitchen. By now, the tornado was in Viridian forest. The tornado seemed to move slow, and it was which gave Ash time to act. He knew that he could not rescue the pokemon at the lab and Professor Oak, and make it back home by thhe time the storm hit. Somehow, Pikachu could sense what Ash was thinking. Pikachu became more worried, but had to stay calm for Delia, who, now after gathering all of the sentimental and important items, was making her way into the basement, letting Pikachu in ahead of her before closing the door. Ash ran upstairs to alert Professor Oak. Halfway up the stair Ash began to shout. He was running out of time and was worried about his mom and Pikachu. Finally Professor Oak awoke. He ran out of his bedroom and ran down the stairs past Ash.

" Professor, we have to get all of the Pokeballs and data down to the basement, right now!!" Ash said heading back down the stairs following Professor Oak.

" I know Ash, that tornado is almost here. I keep my data in a safe in the basement so we just need to worry about the pokemon." Ash and the Professor ran down the dark hallway to the pokeball storage room, grabbed the pokeballs, and started loading them into burlap sacks, sorted by trainer. Bag by bag, minute by minute, second by second, the pokeballs were safely in the bags, although Ash's was particularly heavy, since it contained 69 Pokemon from Kanto, the Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, and Shinou that he had caugh on his journey, 30 of them a brown, bull-like pokemon named Tauros.

" I really wish I hadn't caught 30 Tauros!! " Ash said, trying to add some light to this dark occasion. It didn't work. Professor Oak and Ash hauled the sacks of pokeballs carefully down another dark corridor and then a flight of stairs before finally reaching the basement. Just as they entered the basement and shut the door, the monstrous storm had hit. Ash was frightened, more than ever before. The lights in the basement flickered, the howling wind unbearable. The air was thick, and getting thicker as time went by. Ash struggled to breath. Then Ash had passed out, lying in the floor, face down. Then, darkness.

Pretty cool, Post some more as I would like to see were your going with this...

Here's Chapters 1 through 3.

Parts of Chappie 1 condradict thamselves, but Misty's just playing hard to get.

Chapter One: The Lonley Are Never Really Alone ( Ash's point of view, first person )

I was standing in a dark room, circular, doors covering the wall, not sure of where to go or which one to choose. I was confused, I was weary and could not think straight. I've experienced this before, deja vu so to speak. I walked around the room, all of the doors were the same drab color, sepia with a golden knobell all but one door that is. The door I'm talking about was the last one I reached. It was a crimson red color, an engraving of Lucario towards the middle of the door, and a crystal knob, pure beauty. I grasped the knob and pushed open the door whcih did not lead me out of this dark hell. Instead, I turned up in a dark corridor, pitch black, with the exception of a beam of light at the end of the corridor, it seemed to be miles from my grasp. I walked towards it, then sprinted. Out of breath, I stopped and looked at the beam which was now brighter, bolder. I fell back, laying face up. The light was now eminating from above. The I heard a voice, a gentle, soothing voice, like waves gently lapping on the beach.

" A..."

" As.." The voice that was pure and relaxing minutes ago now began to turn harsh.

" ASH, WAKE UP!!!"

I opened my eyes, slowly, still clinging onto the bag containing my pokeballs. The tornado was worse than anyone could imagine. Wait, the tornado, Mom and Pikachu!! Once my eyes adjusted to the light, I could see the familiar red hair, bright as ever. But wait, the sheen, the color. It had faded, the bright red hair I had once loved becam dull as if she had aged significantly. Before my eyes was the gorgeous Misteria Waterflower, Misty for short. Her beautiful red hair was cut shoulder length, her gorgeous seafoam green eyes sparkled in the sunlight. The expression that she was sending in my direction was far from trustworthy though. I knew her too well. She was mourning, something horrible happened during the storm. It turns out that the drean I had before the storm was similar to what I was looking at now, minus the beautiful red-head.

" Mist..." She stopped me, placing her gentle fingers on my lips, I felt warm, content. I could not think straight.

" Ash, " she said quietly, " I've missed you." Misty said, she looked at me, somber but a warmth to her face. Misty and I were together last when I had lost the Shinou Grand Tournament.

" Misty, " I said weakly, " I wanted to tell you something, I've always wanted to tell you this. "

" And what might that be? " she said, still warm and inviting.

" I love you. I always have, and always will." Her face beamed, her smile was wide as the Cheshire Cat from " Alice in Wonderland ". We drew closer together, as if by destiny. The next moment, her tender lips touched mine and all time had stopped. I had waited for this moment since I first met her at Pallet Lake, seven years ago which I remembered all too well. We kissed for what seemed to be like an eternity. Misty slowly drew back and gazed into my eyes. Both of us were overjoyed. I could tell that , she too had waited for this moment. After a while, Misty broke the silence.

" ASH, WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR, SICKO!! EWWWWW!! "

Silence. She sat next to my aching body, which was flat on the tattered carpet of the basement. We had told each other of our deep, burning love for each other, or at least that kiss had told so. Finally, we could have a relationship. We both loved each other and that was all that mattered, to me anyway.Misty though, would deny it, she did not want a relationship, she wanted only a friend. After about a half-an-hour of silence, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to ask.

" What happened to Mom, Professor Oak, and Pikachu? " I said, tears welling up in my eyes.

" Mom and Pikachu are just fine."

" Thank God, but what about the Professor? " Misty became silent, tears began to well in her eyes. She had tried to steer clear of the subject, I was just to fast for her.

" Ash, I'm so sorry. The tornado sucked him out of the basement. The lab was lifted off of the foundation, the pokeballs are here, but he's missing and is going to be pronounced dead if they don't find him in 10 hours." She choked up before she could continue. I was heart-broken. My eyes began to tear, and soon, I was uncontrollably sobbing. I could not think. I was mourning. My eyes soon stung from the tears I had shed, but the tears kept flowing. Misty and I, both upset over how I was the last to see Professor Oak and how we may never see him again, embraced each other, tightly I clung. Sorrow, pure sorrow. My heart had been torn in two, now an empty void fills where my cheerful disposition and eagerness once were. After we released one another, we wiped our eyes and calmed down. I needed to forget Professor Oak, for now anyway. I needed to see mom and Pikachu.

" Misty, how and when did you get here? "

" I took the magnet train from Saffron to Pewter. Then I walked, more like ran, through Viridian City, only to be stopped by an idiot police officer, I think his name was Officer Philip Banks. Anyway, the idiot needed ID. I showed him my official Gym Leaders Badge, and he let me through, but only after accedently falling into a large mud puddle. Viridian City is a mess, the gym is leveled, the pokemon center is still standing though, if you count a coat hook and chair though. I met Gary in town too. He's a wreck. He was injured, a laceration to the left arm and to his neck, right where the spine meets the skull. It's bandaged, but he is still shaken, he can't move at all. He's at your house right now. Well anyway, I sprinted through Viridian Forest, Gary stayed in Viridian to look after what was left of the gym, in a wheelchair, just to be on the safe side, until he was properly treated..." I cut her off.

" But Misty, you hate Viridian Forest, you know, caterpie population 10 thousand? "

" I know Ash, but did it because I love you. " I gazed into her beautiful eyes while she continued talking.

" I ran into a few friends on my way though, I think you'll recognize them, now close your eyes." I followed her instructions, fearing her use of a large wooden mallet, one she had used on me so many times before. I knew that she had it somewhere on her. I could hear the rustling of the leaves above the basement and then could sense two beings next to me, two beings that, in my opinion were not human.

" Okay Ash, open your eyes. "

Before me were the first two pokemon I had ever captured, in their fully evolved form, Pidgeot and Butterfree. The first I looked at was Pidgeot. He was like an eagle, large and majestic. I remember when I first caught him. It was at least 11 years ago. He was still a Pigeotto, a nuch smaller version of what he was now. His feathers were marvelous, a blinding sheen eminated. His eyes were glistening in the early morning sun. He was my second pokemon. I released him back into the wild to protect a group of Pidgeotto and Pidgey, I have not seen him since. Then my attention shifted to the first pokemon I had ever captured, Butterfree. He was a beautiful, deep purple with wings of white segments alternating with navy blue. He was caught as a Caterpie, a large green caterpiller, and he was convinced that he would never become a Butterfree. Now look at him. He went off, not long before Pidgeot, to start a family with a pink Butterfree who was nowhere to be found.

" Butterfree, Pidgeot!! " I smiled at them and they stood there, returning my gesture.

" Mist..." She cut me off.

" I found them not long after the tornado struck Viridian Forest. Thank God they were not injured!! Anyway, everything is horrible. Ash, I don't know what we'll do without Professor Oak!!" She was right about not knowing what to do without the kind mans aid. He was my mentor and friend. When I first started off my journey, he gave me a spunky little Pikachu that turned out to be my best friend.

I laid on the floor, still tired, my shirt saturated, not with sweat but rather with rain water. I was cold, Misty could see that.

" Ash, I know your cold, and that wet shirt isn't making it any better for you. Why don't you take off that shirt and out on my sweater? ''

" Sure, I'm freezing and I don't really care if your sweater is pink and says " Some like it Hot, I just am!! ", I need it. "

She gave me the sweater and stood up. She walked behind me and proped me up. I told her that I could not feel me arms, or use them. She helped me take off my shirt and sat for a moment, looking at me. I did not know why, but I felt uncomfortanle, but in a good way. There was so much water ,and the water had seeped through so much that my muscular chest glistened in the sunlight from the moisture. She looked at me and turned red, like a water lily. She helped me put on the sweater and helped me get up and walk over to my pokemon, who were asleep through the ordeal. I took their pokeballs, which were among the sentimental items I had brought with me, and called them back, they would be with me forever. I grabbed my pokeballs and sack and climbed out of the basement, Oak's pokeballs still on the floor. She handed me the remaining sacks, and I helped her climb out. Before that however, something on the last sack had caught my eye, the tag on the bag read, " Pokemon of Professor Samuel J. Oak, pokemon to be used in battles by me, only. " I knew that he cared about his pokemon. I knew then that we had to find him, not just for us, but for his pokemon. My eyes welled with tears from the thought of his pokemon, lost without him, although he worked so hard to save them. Misty and I then walked to my house, silently, waiting fot the doom that was only a few blocks away. When we came upon my house, all that lay were ruins. Professor Oak once told me that the lonely are never really alone, little did he know that at that moment, I felt like the lonliest person on Earth. I knew now that the search for Professor Oak had begun.

Chapter 2: The Loved and The Lost

Ash's Point of View
____________________________________

We arrived at my house late, the sun was setting, but not all of the beautiful golden rays faded. My house was still standing, some shingles gone, the flower garden destroyed. We walked through the open living room door and down to the basement. We knew that mom and Pikachu might be down there, after all, they didn't know if everything was clear, well maybe Pikachu did, after all, mom was no pokemon. We descended the creaky steps slowly into the dark basement and stopped once we were on solid ,and somewhat stable, ground. We surveyed the basement looking for any sign of light. Or eyes shifted over to a cot, neatly layed out in the corner by the only window downstairs, light streaming into the basement. On the cot were two very familiar faces. One was a dear friend of mine, May Itara, from Petalburg City on Hoenn. Her long, chocolate colored hair layed on her shoulders, a blanket covering her body. The other face belonged to a friend of mine and May's, Drew Hanabi, from Verdanturf town, also in Hoenn. His emerald green hair was messy, as if he had been asleep for a long while, he was also covered with the blanket. The two looked content, like they could not be happier. Misty and I both knew that the two of them had a secret longing for each other. We both wanted what was best for them, and that was hooking them up. They looked so peaceful the we could not disturb them, for now anyway. We silently crept up the stairs, our eyes still fixed on the young couple. Once we reached the top of the stairs, Drew and May woke up. Misty and I froze. We didn't want them to know that we saw them ,or yet at least.

" So, are you half asleep or wide awake so you can finally listen? " Drew asked cockily, being his usually charming self.

" Well lets see. I guess I'll have to be awake if we're going to find Ash. " May said, a depressed tone present in her voice, clearly not listening to Drew..

" Well, it's nightfall and it'll be hard to look, we can look tomorrow when John gets here. " Drew said, playfully trying to change the subject to fit his romantic attitude.

John, I had heard that name before, but where?

" Well Drew, what we just did, sharing a bed, that really did not mean anything, right? "

" If you want it to, I guess it can always mean something. "

" Drew, I want to..."

" Want to what? "

From where I was standing, I could faintly see them. May leaned over towards Drew, Drew completed the movement. For a moment, their lips met then they pulled apart, only for one brief, quick moment. I couldn't really tell, but I thought I saw Drew's pale face turn a bright shade or red. I turned around towards Misty and began to whisper.

" Walk me down the stairs like I'm hurt. We didn'y see or hear a thing. Don't spoil their moment...yet. "

Misty grabbed me by the arm and began to walk me downstairs. When I got down enough, May and Drew saw the both of us and let out a surprised gasp, mostly shock.

" Ash!! " May and Drew said in unison. They were clearly shocked to see me alive, and to their horror, they thought that Misty and I saw their little scene. We did, but the four of us acted very inconspicuous. Neither side led towards the scene, we would just deny anything anyway. Drew sat up straight while May got up and walked over to me.

" Ash, I'm so glad that your okay!! " May said, tears streaming down her face. Misty let go of my arm, and May and I embraced, it seemed that my hug calmed her down. I glanced over at Drew and he shot me a very strange look, half anger, half relief.

" Well, " Drew said as he got up, " at least your okay, we, well May and I, were getting very worried. " Drew stated, then doing his usual hair flick. Well, it's good to see that you are so cheerful after I could have been killed!! Thank God I didn't think that out loud. If I said anything, Drew would not be happy, and when Drew gets mad, we better run, fast!

We all stood there for a moment, absolute silence. Then in the living room above, we heard the door shut. We ran up the stairs in the hopes that it would be Oak, alive. Or maybe information on how he is? When I got upstairs, first by the way, I saw a man about my height, he was no older than twenty, at the youngest. He had the same raven black hair as me and warm chocolate brown eyes. He was muscular, I could tell. His cerulean blue dress shirt and khaki pants made him look like a school teacher, but on his leather belt were six pokeballs. He was clearly a trainer. He stood there, just looking at me and my friends who just began to gather around me.

" Excuse me sir, " Misty chimed, " but who are you? "

" I'm sorry, My name is John Ketchum, I'm looking for my little brother, his name is Ash. "

The four of us, excluding John, stood in shock, our mouths wide open in shock. Whoever he was, he seemed to be my brother.

" I'm Ash. " The strange man walked over to me and looked me in the eye, luckily we were at eyelevel. John just stood there and chuckled.

" Your not Ash!! Ash is a little kid, no more than five. He didn't even get his starter yet.

" Excuse me, " Drew said, " but you must be out of the loop. This is Ash and he is one of the most famous trainers in the world! "

" I'm still a little skepticle. " he said, scratching his head.

" Are you an idiot!!?? He has the same hair and the same eyes as you, you'd have to be blind to not notice the similarities! " May said, finally adding in her comments directed towards this moron.

" I guess that is true. " John juststood there. We were angered by this idiot and his churlish antics.

" You know what, I need to see if Gary and my mom are okay and then I need to find Professor Oak. If you want to stand there like an idiot gathering dust, be my guest." I said storming past John, my friends in tow. I glanced back and John was still standing there, like a rock, emotionless, and obviously not very bright.

I walked into the kitchen to find mom preparing a ice pack for someone, probably Gary.

" Mom ? "

She turned around, obviously overjoyed. She ran up to me and embraced me, as if she hadn't seen me in decades.

" Ash, don't you ever scare me like that again! " Mom said, tears streaming down her face. I glanced over to the counter where Pikachu lay, asleep in the golden sunbeams that began to finally fade. I sighed. Pikachu woke up and let out a very long yawn. When he saw me, he just smiled and went back to sleep, how kind !!

Mom stepped back and stood there looking at me and my friends, then finallly returning to making the ice pack.

" Mom, Gary is here, right? "

" Yes, he is. He's in the guest bedroom by the stairs. "

" Thank you mom. "

" Oh Ash, by the way, could you take this ice pack to Gary? " she said handing me the ice pack.

" Sure, by the way, there's this moron in the living room. He let himself in, he says that he's looking for Ash and he says that I'm not him. " I turned around and started to walk into the living room.

" And Ash, by the way. If you want to know about that guy, ask Gary, if he's conscious. " she said, clearly not phased by having a stranger break into her house.

I walked into the living room, past the caveman, into the guest bedroom in the hallway. The room was small, just a bed, a small window, a tv and a nightstand. There on the bed was Gary, watching the channel 17news. There on the screen was a map of Kanto. It clearly showed the path of the tornado. It started off by Pewter City, only destroying a small store. It progressed into Viridian City, everything in ruins. It then ripped through Viridian Forest, and finally, Pallet Town, the town worst affected by the storm. Surprisingly though, the only thing standing was my house. I was shocked that my house was the only thing standing between Cinnabar Island an Viridian City. I shifted my attention from the tv over to Gary; he clearly did not care that I was in the room.

" Gary, here's your ice pack. "

" Thanks, toss it to me. "

I threw the ice pack over to Gary, in which he did not catch it, which resulted in the pack hitting him on the head, all 2 pounds of ice too. He didn't look amused at all. I didn't think that that was too much ice, or that he'd miss the pack miserably. he just layed there and huffed while I looked out the window, something was moving. I couldn't really make out the figure, but it looked like an old man, close to my height and weight. He wore a black cloak with a hood which made it hard to see any more of him. In his hands was a brick. I gasped. I stood therem knowing that he'd either throw it at me through the window, or break in through the window and pummel me senseless. I was afraid. He advanced towards the window. His empty hand stretched towards the window and then paused, then the hands fingernails scratched the window creating a deafening, shrill shriek. May came running into the bedroom from the kitchen and stopped. When the man saw her, he threw the brick through the window, which landed on the bed next to Gary, and then ran away. I sprinted to the window to see him flee. He was peculiar. I did not know who he was or why he was outside my house, but I knew this was not the last time I'd see him.

" Who was that?"

" I don't know, but we better move Gary and patch up the window in case he comes back. "

May and I picked up Gary, each of us using a shoulder to support him, and walked him out of the room, into the living room, and onto the couch. I ran back and shut the door, hoping the man wouldn't come back. I was afraid, that man really didn't care if anyone was injured or worse. When I came beck into the living room, John was gone, like I acrually cared? Gary was on the couch, resting. Still awake, but not entirely concious.

" Gary. "

" I know what your going to ask me. It's about that freak that was outside the window and about that bigger freak that was gathering dust over there. Right? "

" How'd you know? "

" Long story short, lets just say I have a way of figuring things out, and you won't stop talking about either of them. I just guessed, naturally."

" Well? "

" I'll start with John, the big freak. He's a hero in the far-off land of Orre. You see, several years ago, an evil organism, called Cipher, went around stealing pokemon and turning them into fighting machines by closing the door to their heart. They called them shadow pokemon. "

" Shadow Pokemon? Orre? " I said inquisitively.

" Look them up on your in your Pokedex at dinner, if we have it. Well anyway, John traveled to Orre to sight-see. He just happend to stumble across Cipher and their plans. He defeated two of the most elite Cipher teams and their leaders. He caught the shadow pokemon and purified them, now they are just ordinary pokemon, and might I mention that the pokemon have made him one of the most powerful trainers of all time."

" Then why haven't I heard of him? "

" I don't know. Anyway, that guy outside the window has been following me and you. I always see him at your gym battles, which, yes, I do go to, and he's even been to league matches. I don't really know much about him, but I heard, from the unlucky people who have battled him, that he is really powerful. "

So John and freakazoid vanished out of thin air, I just heard about a new region, and I still have to find Oak. This is just charming, isn't it?

I walked into the kitchen, leaving May in the living room, and told Mom and friends about what had happened. Drew sat there, emotionless. Misty and mom were just shocked.

" We have to go find the professor, it's getting dark. Mom, can you watch Gary for us while we go look? " Mom simply nodded.

Everyone split into seperate groups, two groups of two. There was May and Misty, and me and Drew. We each brought out our most useful pokemon to search with. May used her Glacia, a small, cat-like pokemon. It was a beautiful pale blue color with white streaks over it's torso that were barely noticable. It was an ice type pokemon that shined magnificently in the evening sun. Misty sent out her favorite pokemon, one that had come back to her from another dimension. It's name of course, Togepi. Togepi was a small egg-like pokemon with red and blue triangle-like symbols scattered over it's body. Togepi was no longer a baby, hatched so long ago, but was now close to evolving to a powerful pokemon called Togetic. I sent out Pidgeot, Butterfree, and Noctowl, a red-crested, sepia-toned owl. Noctowl was one of my most rare pokemon however because he was called a shiny pokemon due to the sparkle that he emits when sent out into battle. Drew, last but no least, sent out Absol, a grey dog-like pokemon with a black scythe-like apendage on it's forehead. It was now the beginning of one of my most perilous journeys, but I was ready with Misty and May at my side. Even Drew seemed poised for action, and then, we were off into the wild.

Ch. 3: Just Call Me Blonde, VERY Blonde.

The fading Golden sunbeams fell upon Pallet Lake, the place, where after an hour of unsucessful searching, our hero's congregated.

" Alright, " he said, " I think that we should rest for a few minutes. After all, we can't find Professor Oak when were tripping over our own feet from exhaustion. " The group seemed to agree.

" Guys, " May chimed in, " why don't Ash and I stay here and think of more places to search while you two go gather fire wood. " May said, pointing at Misty and Drew. Misty simply glared at May, thinking that something fishy was going on. Drew grabbed Misty by the arm and walked her into the forest to get wood, May taking the mallet from Misty, only as a saftey precaution of course.

" Ash? " May said, turning towards him. " That creep by the window, I've seen him before, he was at your last Hoenn gym battle, against Juan. " He just nodded, but was very surprised that May noticed.

" That's exactly what Gary said before. " He thought to himself. May moved a little closer to him, a cool breeze blowing off of Pallet Lake. May shivered, but came up with an ingenious idea.

" Could I borrow your sweater? " May said, knowing that he only had the sweater Misty gave him.

" Sure, why not. " Ash removed his sweater and handed it to May, who seemed satisfied that her plan had started to unfold. You see, May had, what us mortals would call, a crush on Ash. Ash wasn't her only crush though, there was Tate in Mossdeep, Drew, Harley, and John, the rock-like idiot. He was the heartthrob that every girl hopes to meet. May was now getting ready for one of her biggest schemes to date, but everything needed to be just right.

~`~`~`~`~`~`

Misty and Drew were in the Pallet forest now, very far in. So far than Misty couldn't see what was unfolding at the lake. Misty and Drew wandered around the forest, the one place that Misty absolutely hated due to the bug pokemon, but Misty braved to keep Ash warm and find fire wood. Misty was so caught up in her thoughts that she walked right into an enormous pine tree, so enormous that you'd have to be blind not to see it. When she made contact, she unfortunately woke up the hundreds of Pineco, Cherimu, Kakuna, and Metapod in their dwellings. Pineco is a pinecone-like pokemon as his name implies. Kakuna and Metapod are cacoons, Kakuna yellow, and Metapod green, yellow to signify that it would transform into a bee-like pokemon called Beedrill, and green to signify that it would evolve into a Butterfree, like Ash's. Cherim was a flower-like pokemon that rarely revealed it's core, a cherry-like bulb. That was one mistake that she'd regret. Suddenly, a swarm of Butterfree decended from the tree and began to chase Misty around the small clearing not far from where Drew sat, hysterically laughing at Misty's plight.

" Man, I wish I had my mallet to wack Drew upside the head with!! " Misty thought as she ran, ever faster, finally losing the swarm Butterfree.

~`~`~`~`~`~`

Back at the lake, May was flirting with Ash, but he didn't notice due to his extreme denseness.

" Oh Ash, " May said, giggling, " I'm so happy we're together, no Misty or Drew! " Ash looked at her, a blank expression plaguing his face.

" What do you mean May? " Ash said plainly.

" Ash, there's a time that every girl goes through. It's hard to explain, but she always dreams of meeting her special someone."

" So? '' Ash said, a cryptic tone present.

" Well, it's my time and YOUR my someone!! " May got up and walked over to Ash, horror spreading over his face. She grabbed his arm, pulled him up off of the rock that he sat on and pulled him closer...

" WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING!!!!! " Misty screamed, coming out of the woods, Drew in tow, carrying all of the fire wood, a large bump protruding from his scalp, right through his flowing emerald green hair.

" WELL? " Misty said, her face turning a bright shade of pink, her wooden mallet on the ground in front of her. She obviously caught up with Drew and took it back.

" Well what? " May said, an unhappy tone resonating.

" You know damn well what I'm talking about. I can't believe you have the audacity to go after MY BOYFRIEND !!" an infuriated Misty screeched.

" So he is your boyfriend!! " May retorted, happy that the tides finally turned. Misty just blushed a brighter shade of the already shining pink.

" No he isn't, he's just a boy who just so happens to be my friend. " Misty replied, her head bowed in shame. Ash and Drew just stood not far from the warzone puzzled about what just conspired.

" Hey Drew? " Ash said, turning towards Drew.

" What. " Drew retorted, seemingly calm, but that was far from true.

" Let's go home and leave these two to cool off. "

" That's not a very good idea Ash. "

" Why? " Ash said, puzzled.

" If we leave, there'll be nothing left of either of them by the time we get back. "

The early morning sun boke through the gloomy clouds of night as the next day of search and recovery began. This day however would be different. Ash was laying in his bed, now in the basement due to the risk of another tornado. Drew and May shared the futon, and Misty was nowhere to be found. In the corner of the basement lay Pikachu and it's long-time companions Noctowl, Pigeot, and Butterfree. Delia was tending to Gary and John was nowhere to be found as well. Ash opened his eyes and sat up, looking to his right to see if Misty was there, and to his left to see if May would make a move. To Ash's relief and dismay, Misty vanished and May was asleep. Ash quietly untangled himself from the messy sheets and slid over to the edge of the couch. Something caught his eye though. There, right in the basement windo, was him. That strange man. He was not armed with anything but his face was not completely covered. He flashed a grin, an eerie, wide grin. He then ran off, leaving Ash mystified.

" Ash. " Misty said, walking down the creaking stairs.

" Hey Mist. How you felling? "

" I could be better. We got a phone call a few minutes ago. "

" And? " Ash said anxiously.

" They found him. He's at the Pewter City Hospital. He's in a coma, but the hospital won't allow visitors due to extensive looting in the area. "

" And we're going to sit here doing nothing? " Ash exclaimed.

" I've already made arrangements with Brock. Your mom will stay with Brock's mom and Flint at the gym while you, me, Drew, and May stay with Daisy at the Cerulean Gym. "

" Really? " Ash said, intreagued by this.

" Yes. Your mom already left. It' just us and our pokemon now "

" Misty, stay here, I'm going to get ready, oh by the way, what happened to Gary? "

" He's heading back to Viridian City, your mom is going to drop him off.

Ash climbed up the stairs, Misty creeping towards Drew and May to deliver the news. Ash went upstairs to the bathroom and took a shower, brushed his teeth, and went to the hall closet to grab his things for the journey to Cerulean. Ash was not feeling Right about something, but he couldn't place his finger on it. Just then, he looked to his right, out the kitchen window towards Pallet Cape, the Kantonese ocean not far from that. Then he saw an enourmous column of spinning water, it was a waterspout. Ash grabbed his jacket and ran down the hall to the basement, latching the door behind him. You see, waterspouts turn into tornadoes once they come ashore, violent ones at that.

" Take cover, here comes a waterspout. " Ash screamed as he arrived at the bottom of the steps.

The house began to crumble as it hit, the windows shattered, the doors blown in as the ferocious storm hit. When it subsided, Ash and friends surfaced, only to find a ruined house.

" I guess we have nowhere to stay except the gym. " Ash said, tears streaming down his face. His life was falling in around him, his mentor was in a coma, he had a stalker, and his house was destroyed.

" So when we share rooms, it'll be Drew and May, and Ash and me. " Misty said perkily; Ash lightened up at this statement. Then they began their quest by foot, taking a shortcut through the Pallet woods, through the indigo Plateau, through Mount Moon, and finally their destination was in sight.

We arrived at the Cerulean City Gym, home of the Three Sensational Sisters, around sunset. Golden sunbeams filling the pale red sky. We walked through the doors of the " Dewgong " shaped building into the sparkling lobby. Dewgong was a seel-like pokemon that was the signature pokemon of the Cerulean gym, which seldom recieved challenges. Beautiful marble tile as far as the eye could see. The sisters though, were not really sensational. Violet and Lilly were seldom seen. Daisy on the other hand was always around, well except when she was off somewhere shopping. Daisy, a blonde girl, about twenty-four and 5' 4'', was the oldest of the sensational sisters. Misty was the gym leader and Violet and Lily stood around and just decided to look pretty I guess. Daisy was at the reception desk when we entered. She was talking on the phone, what else is new, I mean really. When she saw us, she dropped the phone, I guess it didn't matter who she was talking too. Then, in her high heels, she shuffled over to us. About half-way, she fell. The heel of her left shoe snapped in half. She was very ditzy. She would say " like " every other word. She was blond and always had a blonde moment. You know, when you blank out and then start laughing for no reason. Then you start to talk like blondes do. Well, she got up, took off her shoes, walked over to us , gave us a hug and said,

" Like OMG. I like totally forgot you were coming. Hahahaha!! So anyway, like I went to the mall and like totally bought these awsome pairs of shocking pink high heels. Oh no. I broke my heel. Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. "

The tears flowed for about five minutes; everyone was just thrilled. We just rolled their eyes and looked upset. Then all of a sudden, she stopped crying and her face was dry, like before the tears flowed. Then she started looking at her nails.

" OMG, waaaaahhhhh. I like broke a nail. I just got a mani-pedi too. This like totally stinks."

My god, I cannot believe that she's related to Misty, that hothead. I think this will be a very weird stay, but I'll manage.

Hope you enjoyed them. Now I'm caught up with serebii.

Here's chapter 4.

" A House is not a Home, it's a gym. "

Drew's P.O. V.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heavy rain pounded against my bedroom window. It seem Misty lied to Ash earlier about sharing rooms, there was plenty of room at the gym. The rooms, we got to pick, were of all different sizes and styles. Ash's was small, not as small as the one May was stuck with though. His room had a queen size bed with queen size everything. In one corner, next to a large window overlooking the Gym swimming pool, was a mahogany dresser with crystal handles, and an engraving of Lucario on the side. The room was a very deep crimson, a color of anger and passion. In Ash's case, battling and density. Misty's room was the largest, pokemon plush dolls scattered here and there, Misty's baby egg-like pokemon, Togepi, who had been since Misty since she won a contest for Togepi's egg, asleep on a bed made of comforters and soft pillows, and the King size bed for Misty.Her room was painted a very serene blue, serene for Misty was rare. May's room was the smallest, and May was the only one who didn't pick her room, Misty picked her's instead. May's room was in the basement, what once was a broom closet. Pipes for the swimming pool ran over the twin-sized bed, and the pipes were broken, a steady stream of water came down upon May, but it only happened at night. There were no windows, just a bed, and the dreary gray walls made May depressed, especially that the room was hers because of her fling with Ash. Really, all there was was a bed, a door, and an indoor water feature. Although I do believe she partially deserves it. Well anyway, my room was fairly large, a king bed and an enormous collage above my bed, and it was of my pokemon. I was shocked that it would be there, and I don't really even know why.
It was three am, and all was quiet, for now. I removed the covers and slid to the edge of the bed. I sat there for a minute and then got up, stretched, and then walked over to my door. I carefully opened the door, so as I didn't wake anyone up, and walked down the hall, down the stairs, through the lobby, down more stairs, and finally to Mays room. I carefully, while holding my breath, opened the door to her room and I looked inside to see May, her chocolate brown hair caressing the pillow, her face so serene. I walked into her room after closing the door, and I layed down next to her, gently so I didn't disturb her. I clasped her hand in mine, and I just layed there. My breathing matched hers, it was a perfect moment in time. I looked over at May, her eyes now open.
" What are you doing here, awake at three in the morning? "
" I had to see you May. I wanted to ask you if... "
" If what? " She said sternly.
" If you still loved me. " I said, closing my eyes.
" Yes, I always will. " she said. We held hands tighter than before and then, we kissed. Not one of those last-forever-in-time kisses, but a small, just-saying-I-love-you peck. Well, they say good things don't last forever, and that was proven when the pipes burst in half right when we finished kissing and looked right up at the ceiling, just to get soaked with one-thousand gallons of cold, murky water.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ash's P.O. V.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was awake when the pipes burst. Who wouldn't be when your bed started to float. I though that a thousand gallons leaked out, but I guess there was a lot more, enough to make it up to the second floor. I just wonder how Misty and Daisy are going to deal with this. Well, it was now 3:30, and everyone was awake, except Misty. She's a heavy sleeper. So heavy in fact, that herds of Donphan and Tauros can't even wake her up. Well, I walked, swam rather, into her room and with a sly grin on my face,
" Misty, May and Ash just got married. " Misty immediately shot up from her sleeping position and glared at me, a glare so cold that the water around me nearly froze. Misty then realized the water and began to panic.
" OMG, I totally can't believe this happened. The pipes were only supposed to hold long enough to keep May awake all night !! " Now I see where Daisy and Misty are alike, their valley blonde vocabulary, and Misty's a redhead too, that's what's shocking.
" Mist, you mean to tell me that this is some cruel and elaborate plot to get May to go back to Petalburg City? "
" Maybe. I just want to.. " Misty stopped, trying not to say anything that would make their relationship speed up.
" Just want to what ? "
" Just want to get this gym cleaned up or at least pumped out. Daisy can clean up when we go out. " I nodded in agreement, after all, Daisy was never at the gym, always out shopping, and when she was at the gym, disaster seemed to follow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

" The time is now 8:10 Am. The sun is shining brightly, not a cloud in the sky. It's a warm 75 degrees with a slight breeze blowing in from the cape. " the radio in the lobby boomed. The gym was finally cleared of water and our beds were no longer flotation devices.

" Daisy, were going out. " Misty yelled plainly and she went out the door.

" Like, I'll see you later guys. " she yelled back as the rest of us went outside for a day in Cerulean. We were in the beautiful spring weather, finally after a long, tortuous week in Pallet town. We stopped at the Paradise Ice Cream parlor downtown for a small snack and then were on our way. As we walked out the door, something down the street caught my eye. An enormous blue creature, similar to a fish but it had strong legs and arms and orange marks on its cheeks. It's face showed a never ending expression of sheer confidence. Pikachu, who was asleep on my shoulder, woke up and shot a cold glare at the creature. Just as Pikachu was about to attack, I signaled to him to be cautious.

" Murky !!! " A short, young girl, about 13, wearing a green and white, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans, white tennis shoes and flowing chocolate brown hair came running down the street towards us.

" Murky. I found you, finally !! " she said, bent over, panting heavily.

" Hey, are you okay ? " Drew asked stepping forward to the girl who suddenly became very pale.

" Yeah, I'm al right, but I ran all over the city to find him. " She said, gesturing toward Murky.

" Wait, isn't that a Swampert ? " May piped up.

" Yeah, my first pokemon. He and I met Lance, and Agatha, and Wallace, and even Glacia. Lance even told me that Murky was strong, he called it a " level 100 " pokemon, whatever that means. Oh, by the way, my names Katie. " Katie said, finally introducing herself.

" Hi. I'm Ash from Pallet Town. This is Misty, the gym leader here in Cerulean City, Drew from Verdanturf Town, and May from Petalburg City, both from Hoenn. "

" Nice to meet you guys. Listen, I have to be off somewhere, but is it okay if I catch up with you guys at the movie theater later on ? "

" Absolutely !! " everyone said in unison. Katie ran off down the street with Murky in tow, and for a few minutes, everyone was quiet, but that silence was broken by May and Drew.

" I don't like her. Not at all. " May and Drew said in unison, obviously thinking the same things about Katie.

" Well you're nice. " Misty and I sacrastically bantered back.

" Come in, we need to get ready for the movies tonight. You know what, let's make a night out of it. We'll get to know Katie more and maybe even pry some info out of her about Wallace's and Glacia's coordinator status, maybe even some techniques. " Drew said, eager to get back to the gym. Well, we went back to get ready, even though it was close to noon, but the movie started at 7:00, so we still had some time to hang out. Since it was so boring, we decided to swim in the now-filled swimming pool.

`~`~`~`~`~`
" Hey jump in, the waters great !! " Drew yelled over to us, Misty and May were laying down on their beach chairs, and I was about to climb up to the highest diving board. I signaled to Drew to tell him what I was about to do, and he gave me the thumbs up and a large grin, this was going to be fun. I climbed up to the very top of the ladder, onto the diving board and walked to the very end.

" Kowabunga !! " I screamed and I jumped in, making an enormous splash, soaking May and Misty to the bone. Drew just floated there, hysterically laughing.

" Ash, you're dead!! " Misty and May yelled, getting up and running towards the pool.

" Watch out . " they yelled as they jumped in, swimming towards us, preparing to whack us upside the head with some of those water flotation noodles that everyone has these days. We just swam and laughed, an excellent time it was. I haven't had this much fun since before the tornado. Daisy came into the area and began to laugh.

" And what are you giggling at ? " Misty said fervently.

" Look at the clock, and by the way, your , like, supposed to meet your , like, friend Katie at , like, the movies , like, soon. " Behold. We looked at the clock, to discover, to our horror, that it was 5:00. We were meeting Katie in 2 hours, and it would take a while to get ready.The race against time was about to begin. Drew and I were the first out of the pool, followed by Misty and May. Drew and I needed to beat Misty and May to the bathroom, after all, it would take an eternity for them to finish if we went second. Drew and I got to the bathroom and slammed the door shut and locked it, just as Misty and May arrived. Misty and May banged against the door but to no avail.

" Ha ! " Drew shouted as he climbed into the shower. The clod marble and the air condtioning along with my cool skin caused goosebumps, which didn't make me feel any better about being late. I brushed my teeth and Drew finished his shower where, we then switched places. Finally, a half-hour later, we were done with the bathroom. As we walked out, I heard a sly remark to May.

" They were in there so long that it looked like they actually liked eah other. " Misty whispered.

" Well what do you really know with your valley-like sisters and your blonde vocabulary. " Misty shut up immediatly, serves her right. Well, we were closer to the finish line in our race against time, and it would only get more interesting as time went by.

Cool beans, Its a neat story ill check back for more often. Umm btw you might wanna delete a couple of those extra posts ;) heh

I dont really know how to, its mostly a matter of timing. Like alot of times when a person post's, Someone post's something in the same forum right after them and nobody notices yours. I dont think alot of people read fanfics anyways. I just troll through alot of the unoticed stuff and sometimes I find something good. ;)
