Distribution of Effort values

When EVs are distributed what Pokemon do they go to?
is it any Pokemon who fought each get the amount, or is it divided evenly, or just the Pokemon who dealt the finishing blow, or only Pokemon who were on the field when the Pokemon fainted (in double battles).

Every Pokémon that partipated (or was holding Exp. Share) receives the EV yielded by the Pokémon that was defeated. Any bonus EVs, such as from Macho Brace, Pokérus, or the Power items, will apply to the Pokémon that participated that have it. Nothing is divided.
