Just learning about IV's so I could use a Ditto with some nice IV's. Ability doesn't matter. An everstone would be nice too, but it won't ruin my day if nobody has one it could throw in with the Ditto.

I have a RNG'd Shiny Japanese ditto with 6IVs (cloned) if you would like?

Edit: You can find an everstone in Geosenge town. Geosenge Town - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

I prefer to avoid cloned Pokemon and shiny isn't a big deal to me. If you have any regular Dittos with pretty good IVs that would be sweet, but if not I still appreciate the offer. Would still love to add you though as I'm always looking for new Friend Safaris :)

No problem. I can look through my non-cloned ones and see what I have though. Friend Safari sounds great I'll let you know after I check the dittos

Hey sorry to jump in on this but do you have a spare cloned 6iv japanese ditto? I've been looking for one everywhere.

@a_c_31; I've got a legit, shiny, japanese, six IV ditto, but I'd have to clone it. Now, I know you're against cloning, but it's been going on for so long, odds are you already have some clones. (unbeknownst to you, of course) If you don't want it I understand, but it'd be free of charge.

Does anyone have definite answers as to what is legal and illegal with cloned pokemon? Like if I breed a pokemon with that Ditto and use the hatched egg, would that be an "illegal" pokemon for competitions? I haven't really found many clear answers through googling it in the past, thus I just try to avoid them.

Clones are technically not illegal, because it's such a big part of trading right now. If they had to ban pokemon because they are clones, or because they were bred from clones, half of pokemon contest competitiors would be taken out. Not because they purposefully did (Though some may have) but because cloning is everywhere. Ever got an absurdly good trade on GTS? Someone you meet giving away an event nearly free of charge? most likely people mass cloned and used it to fill their dex, start breeding projects, ect. But that's the economics of why clones aren't illegal. Here's the science:

Think of dollie the sheep. (If you don't know who dollie is, she was the first successfully cloned sheep) Dollie was virtually identical to her sister, even down to the DNA. That noted, Dollie was also a little different than her sister, due to personality, behavior, ect. In pokemon, clones are legit pokemon, just as Dollie was a real sheep. Why? Their "DNA". Pokemon use their OT's trainer ID as classification, but they also have their own seperate ID called their "Hidden ID". now this is inaccessible, except through hacking and code, but if you did hack the game to access the hidden ID of a clone and a clonee, you'd discover their ID, or DNA is identical. The original pokemon had a completely real DNA. The clone copied that DNA, so I guess you could say it's phony DNA, but it's also the DNA of a real pokemon. To conclude, just because Dollie was a clone didn't make her less of a sheep, and same for cloned pokemon.

Thank you for the clarification. Since this is the case I'm sure a have at least a small handful of Pokemon I've gotten through GTS that are clones. I guess I'm not so opposed to them after all lol. I would gladly take your cloned Ditto now. My FC is in my signature.

umm, about that... well, I had a site for free ditto's, and in the middle of cloning, my brother got pissed for some reason, and now I'm not allowed to use his ds. I only made 6 clones, and 7 people asked for them, so they're in a fight to the death right now. I'd go with someone else offer (Though many people consider RNGing cheating)

Yea I'm still going to avoid RNG's if possible. If those other 6 asked for the Dittos before me they're entitled to them unless this is a bidding war for them haha.

nah, they were free. (most people were like "Here, have a fabulous level 1 nidoran!). But the catch is, whichever decides to be nice and gives theirs up will get an event and a ditto!

Same, Though my safari's really crappy. It's all the worst rock types. (except onix, he's cool)

All good, I added you. I'm actually in the market for a good Steelix so the Onixs will be nice.

I wouldn't go for a steelix. Onix with an eviolite is one of the best battlers around. (You should check it out, it's a nice setup)

What a lovely conversation, you two should take it to VMs.

And what kind of Ditto are you after exactly?
