It was sheer serendipity, really. I rarely go to those functions. All those idiots showing off their rare Pokémon, bragging about nearly catching Legendaries--as if they could.
But *he* was there.
The one who really *had*.
I watched him for a while before he noticed me. That elegant manner, those heavy-lidded eyes; he was quite attractive, really.
Our conversation yielded nothing of interest. He asked me if I had ever seen a Legendary, and I told him the truth.
"I have been chosen by the Legendaries to protect their honor from all those who would seek to enslave them."
He raised an eyebrow. "I like how you can say that with a straight face," he chuckled.
He was somewhat inebriated at the end of the evening, so I offered to accompany him home. 'Home' turned out to be an airship, not quite as big as the one destroyed by the divine justice of Lugia, but quite elaborate.
People like him sicken me. People who think they can have anything, just because they wish to. People who claim to have a right to own the Legendaries. People who care not what their goal would do to the world...
It was hardly worth coercing him into bed. But I had to remain there after he falls asleep. With others, I could track them down to their homes and come in the night, but Collectors have those elaborate security systems and such...
He would have been honored. The blade was once used in ancient sacrifices to honor the Legendaries.
Lugia has been avenged. And I move on to the next town.
