Now, you may be saying, "Why would I do that?", but you don't know enough about me to know why at least some of you probably would.

  • I am not a shipper, nor am I anti-shipping. I just prefer to be excluded from that whole crazy deal. I'm that way in nearly every fandom I'm in, actually.
  • I like the dub, and have actively defended 4Kids at least once. They're like this because a lot of parents are indeed that strict and would not, for example, tolerate Misty slapping Ash.
  • I am a casual gamer. No, I don't care if your team has all the right natures, the best stats, is IV trained, etc. I won't yell at you for going to the trouble, though, just don't treat me like dirt and I won't treat you like dirt.
  • Finally, and what just might be above all, I frequently visit Serebii because it's a faster news source for Pokemon than all others I've found. I understand that it barely ever updates its content and the webmaster is a jerk. If Bulbanews becomes faster, I'll switch over, simple as that. I don't judge sites by the people who run them.

If you respect my stances, I will respect yours. I am not trying to persuade you into any of them, I am merely defending my positions.

Okay, I've got that out of the way.

For my non-controversial aspects, I am mostly a gamer, I like to take self-imposed challenges (the Nuzlocke one sounds appealing at the moment), I write some fanfiction (which I would call decent, you guys might say otherwise), I am a horrible artist, and I currently have a Japan obsession (but I focus more on the weirdness and the memes than how teh yoai bishownenz r hawt) (also I like parentheses, can you tell)?

I am probably never going to post again after about five posts, by the way. Early warning.

Welcome to the forums. Just get 10 posts (twice as much as you say you'll stop) in in order to respond to Visitor Messages.

Edit: why would you stop posting after 5 posts, if I may ask?

Welcome to the forums! Have fun and enjoy.
The Nuzlocke challenge seems difficult to complete. Did anyone complete it yet?

Thanks.

Welcome, welcome. ^_^

You should try to post more than five times. That way, you can VM people. :)

Probably. While I haven't heard any specific cases, it seems simple enough, given enough grinding.

But I'm a newbie at Pokemon challenges, so I might be wrong. The only challenge I've completed is playing through with only red Pokemon in Blue. No duplicates. The Elite Four took hours.

Hmm.
Time wise, that would take awhile.
Personally, I don't have enough time for this challenge, let alone time to play HGSS.

Wow, that's still a pretty big accomplishment.
Grats.

Be sure to post the details about the Nuzlocke challenge, if you decide to attempt it.

Thanks.

^ I haven't done the Nuzlocke challenge, either (I'm nowhere near brave enough to try it). Like I said before, try getting 10 posts in.

*resists urge to throw shoes*

I'll throw shoes at you just because you mentioned it.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.

Actually, those views are not really contriversal. Most everyone here (I think) visits serribi first

Welcome anyway

Okay, cool. I had heard of a rivalry between the two sites and saw someone saying they were boycotting Serebii while lurking, so I assumed it was much more serious than it is. Thanks.

I've made up my mind that I'll do the Nuzlocke challenge on Crystal (for the sake of variety) and make it text-based. It'll be first-person, but it'll switch narrators every paragraph to make it so the reader as well grows attachment to the Pokemon. Problem is, I don't know where to post it. The Writer's Workshop?

You could do it here. You can also do it in the Writer's Workshop, but you have to make it more of a story.

wow, that's all i can say *throws my shoes* welcome xD and i want those shoes back btw. (lol)

Haha finally! Someone else who doesn't give a damn about natures and stats!

Hey enjoy your stay, however long that may be :D
