Do some pokemon eat other pokemon....

Absolutely.

There's more than enough proof in the game's pokedexes about hunting and prey and what not. Sometimes specifically targeting pokemon.
(Wurmple get eaten by Starly.)

yup... remember that Pidgey eats caterpie?
I'm sure others do as well (eat other pokemon)

Taillow/Swellow have been known for eating Wurmple (despite the latter having a way of defending itself).

Certainly, since almost all Pokémon have defense mechanisms for some reason... Most likely to prevent themselves from being eaten, or to predate themselves.

Honestly, I don't see why on earth people even need to debate this or even have a problem with this. It's more then obvious that in the wild, Pokémon eat other Pokémon.

i don't think any ones argueing with any one or really debate anything it's just a matter of it being an interesting little tid bit of information. Maybe i am just morbid but i'd really like to know the complete list of which pokemon are carnivorus (how ever you spell it). And exactly which of there fellow pokemon they'd consider food in the wild. I doubt that such a list will ever be made. I am mostly interested so i could make my fanfiction have more depth and reallism with out contradicting anything in pokemon lore.

Yeah, I don't think so. Since the games and anime are pushing the idea Pokemon species are all the same species, jsut with different adaptations.

....What?

Pokemon have EXPLICITLY been defined as different species, games or otherwise. And to deny the fact they eat each other would be to ignore tons of Pokedex entries. The anime doesn't trump the games. They're wild animals, they clearly eat each other.

Numerous references of Bird-like Pokemon eating insects and fish.

Many plants who snare and kill prey, like Victreebel, Roserade, Carnivine, etc.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the "Pokémon are all one species" tidbit was actually from one of the manga adaptations, perhaps Pokémon Special. I've never heard of it in the games or the anime.

But considering that different species can breed with other species of Pokémon, it is somewhat up for debate since species is defined as a group of individuals who can breed with eachtother and not with other species or entirely different animals.

The Electric Tale of Pikachu. ... what?

It's implied that they do, but it's never seen in the anime or in games (except for the pidgeotto who attacked caterpie, but there's no proof that was for food), and it probably never will.

Oh yes, because some animals are just jerks like that right?

It's highly likely. Most Pokémon are based of animals of some kind (although there are some who aren't like Metagross, for example), so I'd assume most of them have animal-like diets.

They do say in a book in the canalive city library on diamond states that if you eat a fish to wipe it's bones clean and set them gently in the body of water in which you caught it. I find myself wondering if others eat pokemon(other pokemon, people, ect.) I think they do.

Admittedly, it's been a LONG time since I've seen that particular episode, but I'm pretty sure that Misty yelled at Ash for using a Caterpie against Pidgeotto, specifically because Pidgeotto eat Caterpie.

Yeah, various Pokédex entries state Pokémon eating each other. For obvious reasons, though, we haven't seen and won't see them in action.
