Do Team Rocket and Team Galactic Know of Each Other?

I know JJM were briefly hired to steal the orb, but like...does Giovanni know Cyrus, or visavera? Do you think the two groups will encounter ever during the anime? Have they in other canons?
 
Maybe not know personally, but they've got to know OF each other. JJ&M were the only Rockets we ever saw interact with Aqua/Magma, but Giovanni knew about the existances of both.

A lot of fans want to see Giovanni square off with Cyrus, but it would likely never happen (and as Dogasu said a few days ago, that's WHY it would never happen, because fans want to see it).

There's also the fact that Team Rocket doesn't show up at all in the DP games. With the anime sticking more with the games plot then ever before, it seems unlikely that Team Rocket and Team Galactic will ever face one another.

It's also not likely since they aren't really competing with each other anyway: Team Rocket is more interested in stealing powerful Pokémon, meanwhile, Team Galactic is more interested in obtaining Sinnoh's legendary Pokémon to reshape the world in Cyrus's image.

What is (slightly) more likely is Hunter J and Team Rocket facing one another since both actually are in direct competition with one another.

Somehow I doubt it's in Giovanni's best interests for the world to be destroyed.


My guess? Team Rocket is aware of their existence and possibly considers them a threat.

Why is TG a threat? Team Rocket can still have their vague and generic goals, some guy with a messiah complex won't stop them.
 
I'm sure that they each know OF the other organization and are vaguely aware of its goals, though I don't know if Giovanni and Cyrus know each other personally.

They each probably think the other team is foolish, deluded and will never succeed.
 
In the games, Team Galactic had Tv commercials. I'm sure the same holds true in the anime. So more than likely, Rocket HQ has at least heard of them.
