This thread is geared towards those of you who enjoy attending anime cons. Which anime cons, if any, are you planning to attend this year?

I love traveling to different anime cons and seeing what each one has to offer. =)

As for me, I went to Tsubasacon (WV's anime con) in 2004 and 2005, went to Tekkoshocon in 2006 and 2011, and I've been to New York Comic Con in 2009 and NYCC/NYAF in 2010. I plan to attend NYCC/NYAF again this year. It's my favorite con, because it's big and it's in New York City. XD

Cons I've attended this year
- Tekkoshocon

Cons I'm planning to attend
- Matsuricon
- NYCC/NYAF

HELL YUS! How else are you supposed to go crazy buying everything from the animes you love? D=

Oh, um, dunno which ones. Haven't actually been to one yet since I only started going to cosplay meets at the beginning of this year XD

I can't go to the one this summer because my friends have their GCSE's, but I'll defo be going to cons in October =)

I've only been to two in my life. One in 2007 and one in 2008 in Ohio (Anime Punch), but I mainly chose that particular convention because I had a friend who lived there, and I met up with her and her sis there. Otherwise, I wouldn't go at all since I'd be by myself and, for me, that's boring. I haven't been to a convention since 2008, but maybe I'll go to one next year.

YES.

I've attended only 4, but y'know, I like to save :D

I've been to Geek.Kon 2009 and 2010 (Going to it again this year), and Anime Central 2010 and 2011 (It was a week ago!) And I'm totally going to it next year.

I would love to, but I don't have time nor money. And my parents would rather take me to other things instead.

There aren't any in Cincinnati, either. D:

You are kidding. There hasn't been an anime con in Kuching since probably the dawn of time.

Haven't ever been in a con but regardless of that I have been asked to join one, not as a visitor but as a person in a discussion panel. Though I sadly had to turn that down due to bad timing.

Probably could visit one later if I have time and money for it.

I personally have absolutely zero interest in ever attending one. Somehow I doubt the crowd that attends those kinds of things is the same as the crowd of people I tend hang out with. Anime and all this sorta stuff is something I enjoy on my own time, but not really something I do socially.

No. I haven't. I could have been to one. Because my brother went to one yesterday. But. He. Went. Without. Me.

When he's perfectly aware of my desire to go to an animé convention! D<

At least he bought me a Naruto canvas print...

I have only been to one, Mini Animania in Sydney last year. It was pretty fun, and I'd go again, but I'm pretty busy these days...

There is Anime Punch in Columbus, OH. That's not too far from Cincinnati.

I* would go if there werent as many ugly girlz dressing up as the hottest anime girls. D:
it would be awesome to meet the voice actor for Goku. I would have him say KAAAAAAA......MEEEEEEEE....HAAAAAA.....MMEEEEEEE.........HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!:p

I've gone to AnimeNEXT three times, but stopped going because of the increase in participants and how they were handled. I'll be going to college near Boston, so I hope to go to Anime Boston in the future.

No because I never have any friends to go with.

Cons suck when you go alone.

There's also Matsuricon in Columbus, Ohio.

Columbus is only 3 hours from me. And Matsuricon has an amazing guest list! That's why I'm going! =D

I went to Anime Boston last year with my old roommate (he's an otaku and he dragged me because he knew I'm a bit of a geek myself) and it was really great.

I'm going to PAX East next year as well.
