READING THIS DESCRIPTION IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL --- Pokemon is becoming more wholesome at a slow but steady pace, having less adult jokes and more orientation towards children, like an adult aging to become more mellow. The American audiences who surpass the views of Japanese watchers, particularly the parents, wanted a more child friendly television show for their children and have been given one with less subliminal and adult jokes over the course of its history. Even within the new generational game which is released our original demands on the older systems which are capable within the platform of Nintendo's mobile devices (DS) such as a better story, less errors/glitches, and a more open model of gameplay which offers higher capabilities for graphics and the ability to battle virtually against anyone in the world through WiFi is a reality. The opinion I hold for the change in Ashes character is overall dislike, firstly the new change has no reason, please share your thoughts on Ashes new design and anything you may also dislike about the newer generation of Pokemon television.

Ummm...It's XY now...the OP needs to read up on what has happened since BW and DA...

And he's been the same character since OS in Japanese:The writers changed, and no matter what the West thinks, the anime writers only give a darn about Japan....why do you think Ground-Shaking moves or Tsunamis(Earthquake, Fissure, Earth Power, Magnitude, Bulldoze, Muddy Water and Surf), Kadabra, and the Porygon evo line have not appeared intact more than once or twice since Japan-centric natural/incidental disasters/lawsuits as a lawsuit prevention tactic? Why not ban any move with the words or "Bomb" "Gun" "Bind" "Psy-" "Revenge" "Aura" "Explosion", "Blast", etc. or permaban Crasher Wake, Iris, Lenora, Brock, Harley, James, Arceus, Hawlucha, Ludicolo, Mismagius, Delphox, Murkrow, Mr. Mime, Braviary or any other potentially offensive Pokémon concept to an easily offended, thin-skinned type of Western individual and their legal team?

Because as long as Eastern Lawyers, bureaucrats, politicians and parents aren't offended on behalf of another party(ies), Ash and Pokémon as a franchise will remain intact in the version that traditional Post-WWII Japanese Nationalistic Capitalism dictates matters most:JAPANESE little boys and girls. The rest of the world can burn Pokémon on a public thoroughfare for all they care.

What on earth are you talking about, surf isnt banned in the anime, the writers used the move in AG, DP, and BW, and the only reason it is not used often is because it requires having a large amount of water nearby.

Im not sure where you're finding any evidence about abra and his line being banned, given that it has appeared in every saga?

and they removed Brock for an entire season because they were scared that people might find him racist, so yes, they do care.

Anyways, I personally like BW Ash's outfit, I think it looks pretty cool on him, althrough the large amount of light blue concerned me at first.

Kadabra only is banned due to Uri Geller, Surf post-Fukushima Power Plant flooding by Tsunami is banned in its current form after the Scalchop Island episode showed it that way once more(Origins showed its new form as a Water Punch, which is nice and safe from lawsuits), and Brock is still potentially offensive for the reason of <redacted>.

I agree with you, however, I don't agree on how West being more "thin skinned" than the Japanese and censoring everything. Though when it comes to sexuality within television and movies Japan is more tolerant the West is about the same, our content for children is an excellent example of this. The Walt Disney Co. is by far one of the more conservative and disturbing examples of Western children's content containing subtle or obvious content full of racism, sexism, disturbing or upsetting scenes, and violence.

And unlike Japan who'd tolerate the less violent Battle Royale franchise as an adult series we tolerate The Hunger Games as a series an have included these books as mandatory reading for English classes, ignoring the many fragmented and run-on sentences which the publisher, Scholastic, has ignored. Many scholars and family-based propagandists view this series as an opportunity for families to bond together. Mothers have reported their daughters having nightmares after reading the series. The books are more gruesome and grisly than some of the more violent video games that are out there. In the last book, Katniss discovers that under-age children have been sold into prostitution by the President.
Book after book in the trilogy, the torture, the killing, the deception and the sadistic glory continue not only for those who have been captured by the Capitol, but also in the additional Hunger Games that has been declared.
All the former victors must participate. In the end, Katniss and the rebels win victory against Snow, but it does not protect her little sister, who has been purposefully targeted by yet another enemy and burned alive in front of her eyes. This is The Hunger Games series as a whole.

This conversation has me very lost. All good points and everything, but... just what does this have to do with the topic in question?

As for Ash's redesign, it's been years and I don't see what's the big deal. Redesign has pretty much become a new-Gen tradition.

I'm fine with it. It has him fit the eyes of everyone else and not be the odd one out.

In Oigins, Nidoqueen's Surf was just smashing water into Charizard

Quite not. Remember the comparison back when they remade the scene of history of Ash with Charizard? Damn, the proposition is way smaller than the way he used to be.

I'm fine with it on Ash, it made him look younger in Best Wishes (which matched his personality reboot) and his more subtle redesign in XY made him seem older. I still don't really like it on Jessie and James, I just feel it doesn't really fit them (and it reminds me too much of them in Best Wishes) and I wish they'd find a middleground or something.
