I do now and then.

I'm not a huge Kanye fan, I don't think he's released one consistently great album, however pulling the albums I own by him and cutting off the crap i got down to this:

  1. Touch the Sky
  2. Power
  3. Gold Digger
  4. All of the Lights
  5. Niggas in Paris
  6. Jesus Walks
  7. Devil in a New Dress
  8. Never Let Me Down
  9. Diamonds from Sierra Leone
  10. Runaway
  11. Breathe In Breathe Out
  12. Gone
  13. Two Words
  14. Through the Wire
  15. Family Business

Decided to call it Runaway, after my favourite Kanye track, and I'm using this as the album artwork.

So It's basically a best of that dodges his three worst albums haha.

I used to do this ages ago, but I haven't in a long while. I definitely think if I make myself an album in the upcoming future it'll be to suit my every mood. :p

(Thank God somebody replied :p)

I've been doing this a lot lately. Stripping down overly long albums to around 40 or so minutes, which I think is the ideal length of time for an album. I'm only doing this to albums with a bunch of songs I don't care for, so they're basically abridged versions.

I think the closest thing I do is combine different deluxe/special/etc. edition of an album together to create one "super-album". But outside of a few very specific expcetions, I have this weird thing where I can't delete any tracks off an album once I commit to it on my iPod. It just feels so incomplete.

I used to be like this, bot nowadays I just want to listen to music I love. A lot of my favourite albums are completely intact, but lesser albums I'll more happily reduce in length and crap.
