B/c the games can be boring sometimes. I only did it once. I traded all my good Pokémon to my Diamond and restarted Pearl.

Yes... often FR/Crystal/Emerald
I don't really restart my DS ones often

Yes, the GBA games are worthless once I have emigrated all the goodies anyway, and I do restart Platinum quite often, having all the goodies on Diamond.

YES!!! All the time. I think the only game I haven't restarted at least once has been Platinum, and even that might change when I get SoulSilver (and trade all the 492 Pokemon I have over)

In fact, I just finished my upteenth playthrough of Sapphire. I've also restarted LeafGreen no less than five times. Crystal has been restarted five times as well, I restarted Diamond four times and I lost track of how many times I restarted Blue and Yellow. The games I've restarted the least are Silver and Emerald (only once each).

A little advantage of restarting the games so much is that I have the chance to test out all the Starter Pokemon as well as train different legendaries. Moreover, I recently discovered I love Girafarig and Floatzel, which wouldn't have happened if I hadn't restarted Emerald and Diamond respectively.

I used to back in the day. The last time I had the urge to start a new game on Platinum, I just went out and bought Pearl.

Once in a while, yeah, I'm guilty of doing this. Actually, I've been thinking about doing it a lot lately... I just might.

All the time. Thats why it took me years to get to the League in Blue. I would restart whenever I got to the last Gym. Same thing on Silver so I only went to Kanto once, then retstarted the game and was never able to get back.

If my Platinum ever somehow got reset, I would probably end up committing harakiri. I should probably buy a quality daisho just for such an occasion... Who wants to volunteer to be my second?

Usually not. I get pretty attached to my games, they all have their own trainer characters with their own plotlines and such that may someday fit into fanfiction if I ever bother to write it. So if I ever want to replay a game, I'll usually just buy the alternate version.

I have been known to go back and restart my red/blue versions though, since I never got attached to any playthrough there.

I never have and probably wont as I have one game and I'd be pissed to lose all mah pogeymanz.

492? Who are you missing? (just curious)

I restarted LeafGreen once, and crystal, and silver, and ruby, and yellow, and red,

...

only the old ones, it was fun restarting and trying something new, changing pokemon around for your team etc etc etc

I'm missing Celebi. Getting a legit one is hard as hell. I'm almost desperate enough to ask for a hacked one. It's not like I'm going to use it (I don't like training Legendaries) so I reallly just want it for Pokedex completion

Sometimes I do, but I don't intend to save over them. Sometimes I save over by accident though :s
