When fighting a battle, is there always that one move one of your team knows that you always want to use to finish the battle?

I recently started playing another run through of Emerald and while training my trapinch, I realized I was always finishing battles with Sand Tomb.

But with starters, especially the fire kind, I always try to finish with Blast Burn

More than often on Platinum, I finish off with Dark Pulse or CLose Combat

Emerald, everyone (who can learn it) must finish with EARTHQUAKE XD

If I'm up against a weakened opponent and my Pokemon knows a priority move, I use that. Else, I use a low BP move, as to conserve the PP of my stronger moves.

I absolutely love it when my Lucario can use Focus Blast to end a battle. I always picture it going all "SPIRIT BOMB," and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Espeon-Hyper beam or signal beam. Depending on which one it is.
Galade-Psycho cut. But with close combat and leafblade its a toss up.
But in the case of Espeon to be fair.. Psychic almost always finishes the job right off the bat.

Hmm.... I don't have a specific move that I finish off battles, but if possible I try and finish them off with the most powerful attack of a Pokemon I'm currently using, especially when it's Gym Leaders or in the League. But if I were to choose from my Platinum, I would try to use Avalanche on Cynthia's Garchomp with my Gastrodon....that is when I get the move Avalanche though, I'm still on my way to Celestic Town since the last time I've played it.

Like when you only have one poke and your opponent does too, you have full health, your opponent has only 1HP and you're like "it's already won you b******", situations like that?

Explosion.

Espeon ~ I'll normally use Future Sight a few turns before I know I might lose.
Tyranitar ~ Rock Slide or Crunch
Beautifly ~ Bug Buzz
Lucario ~ Depends. I have two. One is a physical, the other is special. The physical one, I'll have it use Metal Claw. While my other will use Aura Sphere.

I mainly finish battles with a move, which has a high accuracy. It's so annoying when a opponent's last pokémon has only a little HP left and then your move miss.
And when it's about wild pokémons, I like using some priority moves since the most of my pokémons in team are quite slow ones. For example my Mamoswine finish opponents nearly everytime with Ice Shard.

Charizard - Heat Wave. Burn the infidels.
Leafeon - Leaf Blade. Slice them in 2.
Vaporeon - Muddy Water. Drown them in their own filth.
Lucario - Aura Sphere. Use your own life-force to destroy your enemies.
Luxray - Iron Tail. Smash their faces in.
Crobat - Poison Fang. Let them die slowly and painfully.

100th Post, people!

Yes, I know, but I couldn't come up with anything creative for "Dragon Pulse..." I like the idea of throwing one's life-force at an enemy any way. :p

I tend to finish battles with hyperbeam-like moves.
Porygon-z uses Hyperbeam!
Ryperior uses Rock Wrecker!
Swampert uses Hydro Cannon!
Drapion uses Combo Breaker!

I use Hydro Cannon for my Water starters, and Frenzy Plant for Grass. Or if I'm using Arceus, it'll be Roar of Time.
