Basically this is like the other thread except the other way around. This thread is for opinions that most people have agreed with you on.
 
Comashipping is the best and most canon shipping in the fandom (THAT'S REALLY POPULAR RIGHT??? :DDDD)
 
Hmm in such turbulent and divided fandom its hard to find consensus on pretty much anything but ok here it goes:
Judging by what i saw over the years in online fandom this seem to support large group of people.

-Im in favor of some older characters coming back to cast again, like Misty to do continuation of their story bringing unexpected twist for change. She had lot of untapped potential to do more with her dreams and story having unfinished things and i miss that colorful dynamic and enjoyable interactions she provided among characters.

-i think Ash should win league already growing in more complex way as trainer. Though after that i would rather follow his continuation of journey on road of becoming master, rather than leaving(not sure where this opinion stands).

-i would welcome slight aging of characters. Not by large margin but one to two years would better reflect someone development making it more believable imo.

-Paul is best rival Ash had so far bringing whole new angle to his story helping him to reach higher sphere as trainer.

Not all though, imo Master Quest was pretty good.
 
Piplup did not get anywhere near the amount of screentime he deserved.
 
May is one of the best characters to ever come into the show. (I see nothing but positive things about her mentioned, so yeah. :p)

Harley is one of the funniest rivals ever.

Cilan is fabulous (although I'm not sure if any of that died down since I was last on here :p)

Totally agree on all of this.

Although Harley IS the funniest rival ever. No one's even in the same league. :'>

Other than that...

Piplup and Togepi are both awfully annoying and could just go and die, Axew should evolve soon so that he won't walk the same path as Togepi and Piplup, May's Pokémon got some really shitty and unfair development but is still the best Coordinator (not sure if I'm being biased here or if it's actually a popular opinion), Gible's one of Ash's best Pokémon ever caught, Dawn's rivals were all awful (except for Jessie, and maybe Ursula, even though I personally wasn't too impressed by her), Paul's the best rival to yet appear, Iris' design is kinda bad, Misty is overrated, the majority of the Johto episodes sucks, Sinnoh Grand Festival was disappointing, Ambipom should never have been released and Togekiss should never have been caught, Ash's Gym Battle against Burgh is one of the most awful Gym Battles ever, Team Galactic's three-parter ending was awfully disappointing and TR were at the peak of annoyance in DP, and the fact that they finally appear very rarely is appreciated (they aren't much better in BW).

I got so much more, but that should do.
 
May is overrated and was loved more so because of what came before and after her than anything she brought to the table.

Is this really a thing? DP definitely had some lovable characters but I think the score and animation for BW is pretty stellar.

(minor spoilers) Lets see, what else... I was disappointed to see Burgundy and Georgia's storylines wrapped up so early in the show/see no closure with their characters (for Burgundy especially).

Cynthia is the biggest Badass IMO, but I also like Alder
 
Not sure if these opinion her per-say, but from most people I know who watch Pokemon these seem to be pretty common opinions/complaints...

I the Kanto saga is still one of my favorites. I'll admit it's mostly nostalgia, but I also like how it was more slapstick-ish and took it's self less seriously than later sagas. Also helps that most of Ashs n00bish moments were justified because he really was a trainer just starting out.

Misty is still my favorite female protagonist whos traveled with Ash so far. Again, I'm willing to admit it's mostly nostalgia.

Trip is a horrible excuse for a rivial.

Ash seriously needs to win a league or past the torch to a new protagonist.

Same here, but with me its not so much nostalgia. I guess i liked Misty out of females most because of endearing personality and many quirks which kept character fresh, and imo she brought arguably best dynamics and humor to cast. I also liked her outspoken attitude giving certain charm to series with strong presence, sad backstory having to grow in sister shadow working hard for everything she achieved and encouragement, as well moral support she provided often influencing plot with her heroic acts.

Also dedication in training water types made her stand out in way, finding her dream of becoming water master unique.

Ash seriously needs to win a league or past the torch to a new protagonist.

Agreed about winning league, though i would rather see Ash afterwards go through more complex challenges advancing his goal of becoming pokemon master as experienced and accomplished trainer. Rather than getting new guy going through basic growth again trying to win league.
 
^^I like how the above can work exactly the same if not better if you replaced misty with iris and water with dragon.
 
- Ash's Kanto, Hoenn and Sinnoh teams consisted of his best Pokemon of the show

- Ash's Johto team, excluding Heracross and Donphan, were very poor and never got much chance to shine.

- Ash's Unova team might quite possibly be his worst team in the entire series...although I can't say for sure till BW ends and we see if he gets any more evolutions or not.
