Do you intended to watch the Pokemon anime forever?

I just feel like asking this question when I had read so many post on the Pokemon Anime section.

Pokemon anime had already lasted for 16 years, yet Ash Ketchum is going nowhere, not even any closer to his goal of being a Pokemon Master. We don't know when he will reach his dream (Probably another 20 years or so...?), nor even will he ever reach his dream.

We as the audience are unlike Ash, we will grow and we will age. Many of the old fans already dropped out somewhere passes Johto, even more in middle of DP and beginning of BW.

So I'm asking the ones who still watching the anime, do you intended to watch it until the day this anime end, so it is probably the day Ash become a Pokemon Master, or may be at the point he finish the XY Kalos League, or somewhere beyond? Or just wanted to drop out somewhere in between?

Because the Pokemon anime announced already that it (probably) will go on as long as GF continues to produce new Pokemon games. So we will never knew when will Ash's journey be finish. You as the Pokemon anime fans, are you prepared?

One side tells me I will, as I really like the series and want to know how Ash will do in future challenges and what new things the writers will come up with. But another side tells me I'm too old and that I should enjoy other things than something I just happen to like because it was a big part of my childhood (I'm still talking about the anime, I'm probably going to play the games till forever though, haha). Maybe when I'll get in a really serious phase of life, I'll stop watching it, I can't really say for now. At this moment I still look out for new episodes week after week.

Honestly, I'm quitting after Da!, because it looks like the show's going back to what it was in pre-BW.

I have no plans to stop watching the anime anytime soon. Even with how disappointing BW has been for me, I still enjoy watching a new episode every week. It has been a bit part of my life for over ten years. It would be hard and sad for me to stop watching it. I accepted that Ash isn't going to become a Pokemon Master ages ago, although it would be nice if he still showed progress and skills in his battles, so I don't mind being on an endless journey. I'm going for more of the enjoyment factor and I still have that with the new episodes, to some extent at least, so I don't think I'll stop watching the anime.

I see no reason to stop watching but at the same time I'll be like 27 by the time I see the XY league which feels weird lol.

I need to know how Pokemon is going to end, so yes. Leaving something like this unfinished feels wrong.

I've faithfully followed the show since it first aired in my country many yeard ago and I intend to continue watching the show until it for whatever reason ends. I don't even have the need to see a conclusion to Ash's journey, I simply enjoy watching the show and having fun with the fandom as a result. It's like a weekly routine. I honestly don't want the show to end, really - no matter how "pointless" and crazy the story may seem by now, I still find it enjoyable and my weeks will be dreadfully empty if I don't get my weekly "fix". After so many years, it shouldn't be a surprise I've gotten so used to it by now ^^;

Aw hell yeah. No matter what, I'll always find this show and its take on the Pokemon world enjoyable to watch. (Well, unless there's some huge paradigm shift that removes the things I like about it, but that's not very likely at this point.)

Although I enjoy the anime I can't confirm if I'm going to stick with it forever.
When I was younger I said to myself I would never drop it, but I already quit for a long time once, so it could happen again because you never know the future. I learned it all depends on the current quality of the show, if it becomes too much for my standards there's always the possibility of ditching it.

That the past few years had me cherry-picking episodes to actually watch, but I always read up on new episode summaries. Given how BW was a roller coaster of good/meh/eew, I want to see the direction the XY will take. I might stop completely watching in a few years, given they dragged on Ash/TR's story for 16 years, another 16 is nothing to sneeze at. This is going the way of Doraemon, so I'm probably would've moved on when they finally decide to end it. I rather spend my time watching cartoons and shows that are better written, parts from the recent years of Pokemon have been a bit aggravating (missed opportunities, dumb ideas, stretching Ash's story for god-knows-long, etc).

Sorry about that, been feeling pessimistic lately!

Realistically, I can see myself losing interest eventually, but it'll likely have more to do with real-world interests and commitments than anything within the anime itself (I do intend to have a full-time career some day, y'know). I really couldn't care less whether Ash ever becomes a Pokemon Master or not.

Master or not I'm always going to watch it even if its just 5 min for a filler lol

I intend to watch the anime until the very end, if possible. I love the franchise so much to drop the anime right now.

I cannot gauge for how long I plan to watch the anime. For all we know, the games, and likewise the anime, will continue on for decades. It's obvious that nobody can watch it forever, as humans have finite lifespans.

I already kinda quit after Episode N. I haven't watched any of the Da! episodes, but if XY turns out to be good, then maybe I'll come back to watch it.

I haven't watch pokemon since the unova league, I still have been in touch with what has happen but I don't see it anymore

I see the anime as having tons of potential I'll skip a filler when I'm pissed off but I'm feeling REALLY lucky. So I'll keep watching

I've quit once before. I may do it again because it's gotten worse.

At the very least, if that happens I'll still check up on how the show's doing.

Might not watch it weekly but with pokemon tv and such even if I take a 1-2 year break I could catch up on things. In many ways thats nicer than having to wait 7 days for the next 20minutes. Nothing better than watching 6 new episodes in a row, plus being up to date kind of spoils it since you tend to see the show previews which give away what would otherwise be nice surprises.
