How well are you on random science? This thread is a question and answer game.

You can use Google if you want. :sweatlol:

How it works is that ANYONE can ask a question that RELATES TO or IS science. Then the next user posts the answer (it MUST be correct) and his question and so on and so on.

I will start of easy shall I?

If you add a Carbon atom to a water molecule, what chemical results?
Hint: C.H2.0

I'm assuming you're using C + H2O -> CH2O which is formaldehyde.

On the same topic...
What do you get when you lump 6 formaldehyde molecules together? (Clue: (CH2O)6 or C6H12O6)

(CH2O)6 gives C6H12O6, which is glycose.

(it could be fructose, but it's a more complex and rare molecule and I doubt that something with such simple structure as formaldehyde would result in that thing)

Particle A approaches B with 20m/s. Particle B approaches A with the speed of light. How fast do they approach?

Thanks, corrected my typo (or thinko). And you're right, the closest you can get is glucose. However it's as improbable as adding carbon to water to get formaldehyde. The energy involved to displace the double bonds would just be too great.

And as for yours let's see... 20 m/s + c = 299792478 m/s, right? <trollface>
Ok, seriously, they'll be approaching at the speed of light.
