Do you think the gym leaders should keep their teams the same in the anime as they are in the games? Mabye just minus duplicates? Or do you like it when their teams are changed.

FTW I'm talking about all the Pokemon they are shown to have, not just the ones used to battle Ash, such as Volkner's Raichu and Winona's Skarmory.

I don't mind it when they change gym leader teams in the anime. Usually they do have a reason, like avoiding duplicates. As long as they still follow the leader's type theme it still works.

I don't mind the anime changing the Gym Leaders' teams sometimes, as long as the reason is a good one. Avoiding duplicates is a very smart move when it comes to giving Gym leaders their teams. Although in some cases having the duplicate Pokemon would've been a better idea. For example Elesa, the writers could have given her 2 Emolgas and have the same switching rule as they did for Lenora. Having two Emolgas with Volt Switch would've made the Gym Battle even better.

I like it when they change the teams... the only team I can see getting changed though is Drayden's team especially if B2/W2 comes out before Ash battles him

It would be nice if the teams are kept the same, but I don't have a problem with them being changed. I epecially like how Giovanni had a Mewtwo. I was hoping that they'd give him a Mewtwo in Pokémon Yellow... or replace him with Jessie and James like it was in the show, but that never happened, lol

As long as they just change the duplicates, its fine by me.

However, I do like it when they every once in a while throw a surprising curve ball to keep us on our toes

I like how they keep their original teams... but in some cases, I found it disappointing.

Like, when Candice used her DP team in the anime? Of all the pokemons that exists, why did she keep that stupid Medicham? She's got a Froslass in her Pt team!! Why didn't she use the Ice girly in the anime??

I like it when they keep their Pokémon from the games as although I'll instantly know who they are using, it does often bring back memories to when I fought those very same Pokémon. It's also interesting to see how Satoshi will beat them in comparison to myself.

Regarding duplicates, as long as they either have different movepools or are use different tactics then I don't mind.

I like it when it's a mix of a few new Pokemon and some from their game team, especially if they have a signature Pokemon. The most recent example I can think of is that I really enjoyed seeing Kamiture with a Shibishirasu instead of two Emongas, but still kept her Zebstrika and one Emonga.

I like it when they keep the same teams. Most of the time there is a pokemon debut in the gym leader's team and its nice to see their anime forms. Also even if they change teams around they usually add these anime teams for the 3rd version.

It doesn't really matter to me unless the battles and the designs don't suck.
