I play chess regularly. I attend a chess club every Tuesday.

I'm fairly good at the game compared to your average joe, but my main weakness is that I often charge my pieces into battle without scanning the entire board, meaning most of my losses are from a threat I failed to notice until it was too late.

What's your favourite piece? For me I'd say the queen, mainly because of her sheer power.

I don't play it to much anymore and i don't think im that good at the game these days, but i used to be really into it when i was a kid and would force basically every adult around me to play with me haha. I don't know really know if i have a favorite piece, maybe the rook?

Max lore!???? I like the horse... we need to play soon I think LOL, I'm so curious to see if you'd beat me.

I like chess, it's fun if I'm bored, buuuut not something I'd do as a hobby per se?

when i was younger i used to play chess with my granddad whenever we visited him. he was really good at chess and if im remembering correctly he played in some regional level tournaments. he never showed me much mercy and i dont think i ever won against him! sometimes hed handicap himself and start the game without a queen and still beat me! when he passed away i was given his old wooden chess set which i still have

these days when i have more things competing for my time i struggle to stay engaged with hobbies when i dont think im any good at it? i only very occasionally play chess now. usually with my partner/friends at parties when its more of a social thing and i feel less self conscious about how rubbish i am lol. i bought a couple of books about beginner chess strategies which i want to read but. i feel intimidated and find it easier to engage with my other interests i guess?

my favourite piece is the bishop. just need someone to claim the pawns and the king and then we will have the full board! :bulbaCute:

I'm super washed out and don't play chess at all these days (unless someone challenges me lol), but I used to be in a chess club back when I was in primary school and still enjoy playing it from time to time!

My favorite is also the queen because she's so powerful... That being said, I do have a huge appreciation for pawns. They're essentially little guys trying their best, and they can become powerful and be a game changer if you play your cards right. I dunno, I just find them kind of inspirational personally :)

Haven't really played much of it in years, by this point, but I did used to play it quite a lot, since I was a kid. I believed I've learned all the rules by playing the DOS game Battle Chess on my old computer, and that, along with playing with friends and family, is where I really started to get into the game! Back in high school, I've played with classmates during lunch breaks, and even competed in high school chess tournaments.

I love chess. I'm not the best at it, but I've been playing since I was a child. My favorite piece would have to be either the queen or the knight. Fun fact: if I promoted a pawn and had to choose something other than a queen, it would be the knight.
