Do you prefer retro games, modern games, or a mix of both?

To be honest, I prefer both, though I really need to start playing some more retro games (including Majora's Mask and Chrono Trigger). How about you?

A mixture of both. If it's good, then I will want to play it, no matter what. The graphics and sound quality may age, but good gameplay is timeless.

A mix of both. I don't know which I play more of, but I play both regardless.

A mix of both. I love modern games and retro games, but I do prefer modern games by a little bit.

I kinda like retro games made into modern games, or when modern games reference retro games.

Mix for me too. There are great games in both categories, after all. I'll admit that I tend to prefer modern games, but I still love retro games too.

I also enjoy both; different eras have good games. There are still some older titles that I haven't yet played that I plan to play.

I like a mix of both. I love the old sprites from SNES/GBA type games, but I've loved a lot of recent JRPGs in the last two generations, so I'll take a game from any time, as long as it's good.

Mix of both. I like games like The Legend of Zelda and EarthBound, but also Super Mario 3D Land and Pokémon Black/White. Modern games can be good, but retro games are good games.

Neither, I like N64-style (which I don't consider "retro") and good games, regardless of whether they are "retro" or "modern" or neither. I tend to not play many retro games since I simply didn't start playing games until the N64 days and so I'm not really familiar with them, but I have found that (with the exception of the DS) modern games are pretty bad and I don't like the general direction they've gone in (sacraficing good story / gameplay / concept for good graphics / gimmicky controls like the Wii remote and Kinect). I'm not saying all N64 games were good and all current games are bad, but generally speaking that tends to be the case.

I prefer both types of games. Retro games were the classics. They shaped the games that we have today. Back before games that we have now, Super Mario Bros. was the big thing. That shaped the Mario series we have today. Also, the modern games have new ways to play classics. They both can be fun, it just depends on your style.

I would say a mixture of both. I like playing old games cause I can go back and think of the fun times I had playing the game when they were new.I also like having the chance to play old games I didn't get to play when I was younger. Though I also play new games because I mostly have newer systems plus the games have more complexity and advanced mechanics than older games and much more features.

A mix of both, as long as it is entertaining.
