By "Playing" I mean pretending that You were the Pokemon and such. Please tell your stories here. I used to when I was about 7 or 8.

This one occurrence was about two weeks ago however. I was at a death service silent auction (Long story, don't ask) and I heard a bunch of friends yelling around, pretending to be Pokemon like Charizard and Torterra. I nudged my friend and we went over there to talk to them. I went straight up to them and said with a straight face, " Arceus uses Judgment. I win." and walked away.

The kids were so stunned.

Anyways, do you have any stories like this?

I remember talking to my Pokémon cards and pretending they were really Pokémon. I also remember making gym badges out of construction paper and taping them to my shirt, then wearing them to school and telling kids I was defeating gym leaders on the weekends.

Sounds cute, right? Except for the fact that I wasn't six or seven - I was 13. It took me a long time to mature.

My sister and I tried to act out the first anime episode. However, neither of us had actually seen that episode yet, but we knew what it was about (generally). It was epic watching the episode for the first time and seeing how badly we failed.

Oh my god, I remember doing this with my best friend all the time in elementary school! XD We'd have imaginary battles and since it was around the time everyone played GSC, I always insisted on using my Feraligatr in "battle" Ah..memories...

I also rememember in first grade, how I got into a fight with these two girls, because one prefered to pretend to be Pokemon, while the other preffered to be a trainer, and I liked playing as both XD

I wasn't too into Pokemon during my childhood, but I did watch the show every now and then. I also played the TCG. I never started playing the video games until I was in 4th grade.

Back in the old days I didn't have many friends that played pokemon themselves, and those that did were too old... (More like I was too young)

I "roleplayed" in a similar way other games however... but not pokemon----wait, that's a lie, I actually did, sort of.
I would play an story of sorts, mostly with original characters but sometimes with things from games, and we brought a few pokemon things (including a parody of Ash I made up, as I didn't like the anime)

I did in grade 3. Most of my friends were pretending to be Dragonball Z characters though =/ I joined in of course, but after school my best friend and I used to have Pokemon battles on my trampoline.
I was always Growlithe or Pikachu. And occasionally Squirtle. ^_^ After playing through Gold I had an obsession with the S.S. Anne. (Even though it was actually the S.S. Aqua in the game. I was used to calling it the S.S. Anne from the episode in the anime.) We pretended the ship was sinking and us Pokemon had to save the humans.

It always sucked when one of us used the move bite... Mum eventually banned that move.

Back in elementary school, me and my friends would have imaginary pokemon battles during lunch...ahhh, the memories...

I heard one story from my friend, Summer, when her and a few others were swimming. They were playing as the pokemon and the trainers in the water. So they were like: Summer! Use splash!
-of course she just flopped around and did nothing-

God, I remember doing this in 3rd and 4th grade. It was so fun! I kept saying I was a Ditto and transforming into different Pokemon to kill everyone else. XD

I did this all the time back in the day. My friends and I were such dorks that we just had fun being Pokemon and trainers while battling.

We would be "Team Rocket Scientists" and mix a bunch of lethal-to-swallow cleaners, soaps, drinks, punch mixes, etc. and put them in real test tubes. Then we would leave them out in the sun to "absorb the UV's life energies".

We never got a Pikachu, and we were pretty much failures as mutant thing alchemy making stuff. But one time we forgot and left it out too long and the ENTIRE OUTSIDE OF THE TEST TUBE grew green hair.

We panicked and threw it away =P We looked sinister in our labcoats and shades, but at the end of the day none of us were really up to taking care of an angry Bulbasaur as it came to life.

Oh, I always pretended I was a pokemon or a trainer. I used to do such a great Pikachu voice (stupid puberty). I was more obsessed with pokemon when I was younger than I am now. And that is saying something.

Oh man, this brings back memories. Every time my cousins came to visit in the summer, we'd always have 'pokemon battles' with each other until somebody got a bloody nose or a broken wrist! I remember prefering to be Hitmonchan, which led to an incident of being grounded for a week.

Well I use to play Pokemon Yellow version a lot...along with the other games that came out such as mysery dungeon and ranger and that 4th genaration game lol I use to vocalize the parts

Back when I was 7 or 8 we would play "Pokémon Trainer" were one of us had to try and catch the others. We would go and hide, and when the trainer found us we would have a "battle". I was a Flareon and would usually hide under a bench in the mini maze.

My sisters and I would do this a lot when we played Pokemon Stadium 2! D:

And...I-I still do this today. 8D; I replace my mind with the mind of the trainer I'm playing, and act and react like he would.

When I was little I used to pretend that the Pokémon from my games were following me. I never told anyone, haha. I always used to imagine my Umbreon following me.

Funny thing is, now with the PokéWalker, I always have my Umbreon (or Darkrai or Mewtwo) in there.

I was always fuckin charizard all up in your shit kickin ass and takin names.

I used to with my mom when I was around 5 or six, then I stopped for a while. Now, I have a five-year old brother who always wants me to "be" Ash and he's pikachu lol
