Do you think another separate League series would be good?

The Orange League was NOT in the games, and hearing from all sorts of people, I assume it was just filler material because the writers needed time to prepare for the Johto series. No other league had been introduced since.

However, do you think another separate League series is good to add to the show? Do you think it's necessary? Or do you think it's just a waste of time? If you want a series, how should it be like?

Personally, I wish they'd make a separate League series with Ash's past + present rivals all competing...if they're not doing it in the Unova League.

I agree with your last point I would like to see a filler league where old characters will show up including Ash's beloved pokemon from the previous 4 gens. I also really liked the orange islands, even when they originally aired. I thought it was real neat and Ash came out a big winner (before his spirits got put down by Gary).

Either that, more Chronicles, or a Battle Frontier-Type season.

True, they did make Orange Islands because they needed time for the second gen to come out, and it's perhaps the most original the show ever got, but it was made because they essentially had no other choice. The last time they've sort of done this was to put the Battle Frontier of Emerald into Kanto, serving the double purpose of advertising FR/LG and Emerald all at once. With the pace that Unova is going at, we might see this happen for a third time, although now there isn't anything from another game for them to feature. (right now anyway) While I see no purpose in having any of his rivals return, unless it's to have Paul smack Ash hard for being a total dunce. (or Gary, whichever works for them) I can't help but think they have something in mind for the postgame half of Unova, since they're going the same route the main game has you take in the anime. They've never excluded major game locations before, other than the Battle Zone of Sinnoh, but that was because they did their job too well and made one region last longer than any other. You can also say that they didn't include Sevii, either, but that's also understandable since the premise behind them is similar to Orange, only without the gyms. If we are to get another saga to fill the time to the next generation, then I have no idea what they'll do with it, but it'd be ridiculous to believe they can make Unova stretch out for another three years.
