Do you think any Lucario can speak like the one in the eighth movie?

I'm curious, as it is very plausible for Lucario to speak, due to Aura. Do you think it would be semi-normal for A lucario to speak like the 8th movie one?

Theyre big on telepathy in movies, arent they? But Maylenes couldnt talk, and I think they just did that so we actually understood the poor thing's feelings.

That would be kind of cool, but I also think that its unlikely that there are a lot of other Lucario that can speak like the one in the eighth movie. They usually have a Pokemon using telepathy in the movies, with the fourth, fifth, seventh and kind of ninth movies as the exceptions. It could be possible that since the Lucario in the movie apparently had more training to control aura that it learned to speak and that other Lucario could have that same ability through training, but that was just my own theory on it. Even so, it still feels unlikely since, outside of Mewoth, I don't think that a Pokemon that talked in a movie talked when it made an appearance in the series.

My guess is Lucario are extremely intelligent Pokemon and some are therefore (if they desire)capable of human speech. However, remember that when Meowth learned to speak, he also lost the ability to learn Pay Day. It may simply be that only truly strong Lucario can speak. Which explains how Movie 8 Lucario could.

What telepathy moves? Psychic? That's really the only one, its mvoes revolve around Aura, and even the manipulation of other elements such as fire and electricity.

We know that the Lucario line are able to communicate their thoughts and emotions through Aura, we've seen it in the ranger special, and in the Riolu mission in Ranger 2. This speaking with telepathy may just be an incredibly advanced form of Aura communication, where the user can seemingly speak in the recipient's language.

I said MOVIES not moves.

Sumomo's Lucario didn't talk even though Satoshi and his Aura were there. So I think it's just one of those "some can, some can't" things.

Riolu in the ranger special didn't speak and Maylene's Lucario didn't speak. And it's Aaron who taught that Lucario Aura. So I doubt it.

I thought all Lucario had the ability of speech until we saw Maylene's. I agree that it would be possible for all Lucario to speak given proper training. If you think about it, any Pokemon could learn to speak, arbeit probably at the expense of a powerful move, like with Meowth sacrificing Pay Day to learn to talk. Imagine if Ash had taught Pikachu to speak instead of learning Thunderbolt or Volt Tackle. Things would be quite different.

Since Max's future Ralts spoke to him telepathically (or was that dub only?), I'd say yes, any Lucario could learn to talk like that. Probably most of them only "speak" to their trainers, though.

I always figured that had more to do with Max. He did at times seem to possess some latent psychic powers of some sort- Jirachi reached out to him, only Max could hear Ralts's psychic calls for help, and Max and the Deoxys from the Ranger two-parter developed a bond right off the bat. Well, either Psychic powers or some kind of super-friendship powers. Or a combination of the two.

...'sides, what does a Psychic Pokémon have anything to do with Lucario? I'm going with the idea that Sir Aaron's Lucario was special. Presumably its telepathy came from either Sir Aaron teaching it or- and I like this idea better- maybe Sir Aaron decided to take Lucario under his wing because of its specialness and telepathy.

Well I'm thinking any Lucario can learn how to talk. This goes for every pokemon, I mean Team Rocket's Meowth learned how to talk after watching other people talk. Pokemon can talk if they really tried....

They can easily do that by giving an angry or disgusting look. In fact the Pokémon have many ways to communicate with humans, they do not necessarily have to learn to speak. Meowth didn't learn to speak for communicating but for chasing after girl.
