The question is simple. Do you think Ash's buizel should evolve into Floatzel?

The last time we had an evo happen during a league was Kingler. I'm not saying it's not possible, as I'm sort of open to the possibility, but it is extremely unlikely.

i would have liked to see it evolve especially wit it more frequent recent losses but since Quilava just evolved i feel like it defiantly won't evolve now. i would like to have seen it evolve against Kenny's Empoleon and pull out a victory.

At this point, Gible is even more likely to evolve. I'm going with "no" on this one.

I remember talking about this a few months ago on the Evo/Capture/Release thread a few months ago, as I wanted Buizel to evolve to put some life back into him. The others managed to convince me that it wouldn't really do a lot in the long run, as the writers simply focus on other Pokémon more (Infernape), so I don't think that it should evolve. Evolution is only a temporary fix when it comes to screentime, and I want screentime more then power.

I don't see why they gave characters that barely appear (Kenny) an evolution of a Pokemon on the main cast. I don't think I will ever understand why they do stuff like that.

Sort of off-topic, but it seemed like everybody and their mom had a Glameow. That can be taken somewhat literally since Dawn's mom has a Glameow haha.

It would've been great for Buizel to evolve. But it's too late now. With the whole Draco Meteor thing, Gible's more likely to evolve now.

I just don't understand why they would give Kenny, a (semi) important character, an evolution of Ash's Pokemon when it still has a lot more in-store for us.

With Buizel's personality, it should have evolved long ago for sure.

this is why i think the battle against kenny's empoleon would have been the perfect venue for buizel to evolve. it would have made up for kanny's empoleon evolving and it would have given buizel the boost in power and screen time that it has been lacking recently.

i could kinda see a hint being present there i just dont know when there would be time for it to evolve at this point

It seems that the writers have this thing about keeping some of Ash's Pokemon unevolved and having them pull out big wins against fully evolved Pokemon. Unfortunately, they've overdone it, and they're still doing it. At this point, it's just another one of their overused gimmicks; then again, the writers are notorious for re-using gimmicks. Given that, while I think Buizel should evolve very shortly (actually, should have evolved by now), I'm not optimistic.

i would like the writers to start giving ash more 2nd of 3 evolved forms like bayleef and quilava. i like how the second forms look the most usually

No... I really really dislike Floatzel's design. Actually, first time I played Diamond, I trained a Buizel cause I really liked it's look and needed a water type... after it evolved, I found it so ugly I boxed it faster than you can say box.

But no, I think the writers aren't gonna evolve Buizel, the design's not cute or cool and it's already shown to be able to defeat its evolved form. So no...

Or the writers are showcasing Floatzel through Kenny so they don't have to evolve Ash's... Altough, if we're looking at hints, remember Mami (?) that Glameow trainer... She wanted to challenge Wake's gym so guess which fat ugly otter got a cameo ? ... ... No, it's not Mijumaru, stop calling Mijumaru fat, you're gonna make it feel self conscious...
 
No, Floatzel looks fugly - Buizel looks cute and tough at the same time. Besides, since it has already beaten its evolved form, there's really no point. :|
 
No, and it's for a really boring reason. I think Buizel looks cooler.
 
I would have liked it to have evolved, but now that we are at the end of Diamond and Pearl, I highly doubt it will. Though there is always a chance it will pull a Phanpy and Cyndaquil and evolve later on
