I miss those episodes it doesn't make sense for them to stop at the end of Master Quest then go back to Indigo League.

Didn't they air AG at one point already? Or am I thinking of CN?

Considering AG is now 10 years old, it's certainly old enough to air on the network.

Nope, since all of the people *coughcollegekidscough* that watch the show on that channel can't stand anything than their precious Misty.

I very much doubt they make scheduling based on a small and irrelevant part of the fanbase.

Boomerang is also aimed at kids who likely never saw those seasons before.

Odds are they will stop at the end of Season 6 since that's where Cartoon Network stopped and they've never reaired the last few episodes of Season 6 for in a long time.

There's still a chance though since Boomerang also shows Ben 10.

They air DP in Japan on a satellite network, and I believe also in other countries. It's possible they might bring back those two series on Boomerang eventually.

Most likely if there are R/S remakes in the next few years they'll probably give the AG series some steady reruns.

The whole AG series has been on DVD for a long time though, so even though its not on TV it doesn't mean you can't watch the episodes if you want to.

While all of AG is out on DVD, I think that some of the discs for the first three seasons are out of print. There are some Advanced Challenge and Advanced Battle DVDs that are only available from individual sellers and the prices can be kind of steep. Besides that, not everyone can afford to go hunting through DVDs that were released nearly ten years ago, so putting them on TV at some point would be a good way to introduce the series to kids who weren't fans or alive back when it was airing and the DVDs were more easily obtainable.

Anyway, I could see Boomerang airing AG within the not too distant future. It depends on how successful the episodes from the original series do ratings wise and if they can get the rights to air that series too. I don't think that they would reair DP anytime soon. It's too recent, although that certainly hasn't stopped Boomerang from airing other shows before, but I don't think that they would do that just yet. I agree that the best chance for AG to get some reruns on the channel would be whenever R/S remakes come out.

You can find most of them online still. Amazon.com, deepdiscountdvd, etc.

There are a few either out of print on Amazon or not available on other sites. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in getting a few DVDs of a season that I couldn't afford to complete eventually or have a difficult time finding, but that's just me. Airing it on TV with a possible re-release of the different seasons somewhere down the line would be the best way to expose kids to the series rather than expecting them to go find it on online retailers.

I think Boomerang should air everything pre-BW.

Do a complete run from Kanto through Johto, through AG and through DP. 13 years worth of seasons.

If you guys know how to hack your DVD players you can get the first 3 seasons of AG from Australia or New Zealand very easily from ebay or mightyape.

That's probably all they have the rights to air.

Buying the rights to re-air the Hoenn and Sinnoh seasons may cost them more money than they're willing to spend.

Not sure at this point. After so many years some could say Boomerang would air something else aside from OS, but fact how they dont makes you think if they have any initiative in airing reruns from Ag and DP as well. Pity because i liked those two sagas, and while i prefer OS liking to see good old classics from time to time i find it unfair and discriminating how Hoenn and Sinnoh dont get equal treatment.

If RS remakes do happen eventually i could see this prompting them to air reruns of Hoenn allowing people to affirm their knowledge about it.

Although Dogasu brings up valid point though, it could be how they dont have rights to air anything past Master Quest.

I wouldnt be surprised if one of reasons why only OS are being re aired is because they arent sure if AG and DP would bring equally high ratings and be enough profitable to be re aired. Judging by what i see on net Misty and original trio are still incredibly popular and its quite interesting how OS are generally more preferred compared to newer seasons among older audience. Not all, but among large chunk it is.

The only reason Boomerang is airing those episodes is they haven't purchased the others. That's all.

I wouldn't be surprised if they aired AG sooner or later. The issue is about the rights to air them, as Dogasu pointed out.

If they can play cartoons that aren't very old but were just short lived, they can play one that had a good run and is actually old enough to qaulify being on the network.
