Do you think Braviary, Staraptor, and Noctowl hunt Pidgeot?

Pidgeot is a good flying meat sack. It's possible, I guess. Though it's still sort of fearsome compared to... some other pokemon that would make much better meals for the bird pokemon. Wigglytuff, for example, seems like the perfect prey. Also, Chansey may be huge but it's also defenseless. I don't know if predators would attack it or not. Maybe beat her up and steal the egg.

So Pidgeot IS a prey species of bird, but it's also bigger than Noctowl and some of the others, so it's probably left alone, especially in favor of pokemon like Wigglytuff that are much better prey. Pidgey probably gets eaten, but then again Rufflet probably also does.

Predators generally know what they can and can't take down. My wager is that they know better than to bother trying to go after a Pidgeot. It can match them in flying abilities any day.

They're pretty similar as bird relatives so I don't think they see pidgeot as a prey, like in animal world.. You don't see an eagle hunting a falcon and so.

o.o this never came across my mind and I don't think it after the thought came into my head. No idea why they would, you would have to give me some reasons as for why they would be inclined to do so.

Braviary and Noctowl, being "true" birds of prey, are better-equipped for hunting small rodents and lagomorphs. Rattata, Minccino, Jigglypuff, Patrat, Audino, Chespin, and Sentret would be common prey. Staraptor, I'd say yes, they'd be well-equipped for hunting other birds. Ospreys sometimes fall prey to larger raptors, so I'd say a Staraptor would occasionally hunt Pidgeots. They'd probably stick to smaller prey, like said rodents and smaller birds such as Pidgey, but Pidgeot would not be off the menu.

Like how you don't see domestic cats going after (adult) chickens. And they're not related at all.

They're related mostly by being in the bird family (I know trey don't belong to the same subcategories), much like canidaes and etc.
Just curious I took a look at info about those birds and found out (I didn't know about this eh?) that staraptors are enemies of pidgeots and noctowls because they like to hunt small birds like pidgeys and hoothoots. So, here you have it. If my info is correct, they're natural enemies, no predator and prey.
Didn't find nothing in Braviary to be in the match, but it likes to hunt little birds too like pidoves and ducketts. So maybe it'd hunt pidgeys too.
On a side note didn't find anything about pidgeot's menu to have more info on the subject.

Can you post links to your sources pls?

Sure, it's on the spanish pokémon wikia though, I'll put the most important ones that are Pidgeot and staraptor:
Staraptor
Look in Alimentación.
Pidgeot
Check Biología part.
And that Barviary hunts little birds
Braviary

I just hope linking to other pokémon webs is not an infraction.

If i see them hunting any bird pokemon i see smaller, unevolved bird pokemon like Pidgey and Starly. you see they are all pretty close in size except for Staraptor who is about a foot shorter than pidgeot. Braviery is the same height as pidgeot and weighs a little more. Noctowl is actually the biggest but seeing as its a pokemon of the night and most bird pokemon are of the day i don't think you would see it hunting pidgey. i think Pidgeot would be the hunter with the others.. not the prey.

Have you looked at any of these Pokémon's PokéDex entries lately?

Pidgeot: 4'11"
Noctowl: 5'03"
Staraptor: 3'11"
Braviary: 4'11"

With the exception of Staraptor, they're all approximately the exact same size. Birds of prey only go after stuff that's a fraction of their size, stuff that they can eat relatively quickly. There's no way they'd go after each other. They're more likely to go after fish-based Pokémon (like Magikarp or Basculin) or small rodent-based Pokémon (like Rattata or Patrat), because that's what the diets of the animals they're based off of mainly consist of.

This thread makes me feel bad for all those Rattata I've left totally defenseless.
