I've been thinking. How come there are typically only 1-2 Rivals per season? I LOVE the way BW gave Iris and Cilan "Rivals" along with Ash (ironic since Georgia is my least favorite Anipoke character). Besides Contest Rivals there's usually only 1-2.
You'd have to really stretch it to call any character from Horizons a Rival (Anne, Nemona, Coral, Sidian, etc. Not really Rivals) and as someone who really likes to see recurring characters battle, that's a little sad to me.
Do you think each MC of a season should have a rival? (or have one character oppose multiple MCs?)
