So do you guys think it's time for one? I think it is. Just look at these dates:

Mario Party 1998-12-14
Mario Party 2 1999-12-17
Mario Party 3 2000-12-07
Mario Party 4 2002-10-21
Mario Party 5 2003-11-10
Mario Party 6 2004-11-18
Mario Party Advance 2005-05-28
Mario Party 7 2005-11-07
Mario Party 8 2007-05-29
Mario Party DS 2007-11-19

Since all of them have a maximum of two years between the release date, there should be another mario party released by now. However there isn't, and there also isn't any news of a new game. But anyway what do you think, should there be a new mario party game? If yes how quickly do you want it? =P I myself want a new one and fast.

Considering we have those ten you mentioned, I'm in no hurry for a new one soon. I don't see why we must get a new one every year/two years, since they don't change too much with each game.

(I honestly feel more new stuff in the main Pokemon games.)

the dates check out, but why another Mario party? the games get worse as they get through. It's like Sonic, let it die peacefully already

Honestly, I only liked the first three Mario Party games. And I mean, I fucking love those. Mario Party 4 and beyond? Not feeling them too much at all. So no, I don't need any more Mario Parties. I'm perfectly content with the first three.

I love Mario Party, but honestly, we have enough. I'm sure they can think of something new-- and they have, really! It would be awesome if they released a "pack" with a lot of the games in one, or like a Super Mario Party with all of the mini games combined, and boards/worlds of doom.

This serves to remind me that I never got the DS one, though. I may need to do that... :D

And yes, 1-3 was super fun. <3 My favorite mini game was the one where you played jump rope with the flames. And the Tick Tock one, where you jumped over the clock hands. So uh, I liked the easy ones, haha.

I'm gonna go with the "no"s here. I'm kind of hoping that from here on out, they stick with one entry per console like they do with Mario Kart.

I could be wrong, but the Mario franchise in general seems to lately be cutting down on superfluous games and focusing more on more traditional ones. We've only seen one Mario Party on the Wii, Wii's Mario Tennis is merely a remake of the Gamecube version, there hasn't been a Wii Mario Golf yet, and ever since Paper Mario, and there's been an upswing in new Mario platformers and RPGs in recent years. Although I like the spin-off games, enough is enough and it's nice to see them not nearly as prominent as they once were.

Don't remind Nintendo! Sheesh, we'll be getting Mario Party titles 3 times a year again (exaggeration), just play a very old Mario Party game that you haven't played in a while. Maybe it'll feel new, again!

To be honest, If Nintendo were to do this, I'd prefer them to do something risky:
Ditch Mario and make it "Wii Party"

Have character play as their Mii's through Mini games that span not only from the Wii property (featuring Minigames at Wuhu Island), but make it the smash brothers of Party games by featuring other series for Minigames as well. (Like Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Pikmin, Warioware, Animal Crossing, and other titles). Maybe even let people Download some new games, or buy game packs in the shop channel.

Players could unlock costumes from the series to dress their Mii (with hats and clothes like Link's Hat and clothes, Mario's overalls, or a Pikachu costume, Peach's Crown, etc) Add in Online, The difficulty point system of Wii Sports games, Wiispeak, Balance Board, and Motion Plus Support and you have the king of all Party games!

That would be great, but... I don't want to see Mario Party (per se) anytime soon!

I actually like them all, and I only think mario party 8 is pretty bad (altough the train stage is awesome). But mario party should not die. It hasn't even had the chance to enjoy wi-fi.

Yeah, that would be awesome. They should also do that for a mario kart game.

This... is awesome.

Not really. Mario Party has become Nintendo’s most overused Mario spin-off series, if anything having this series take a break is probably the best thing to do right now.
