Hi.

Okay, this is what I feel. As of the recent Japanese episode, James STILL only has Carinvine as his battler. Jessie has both Seviper and Yanmega, and to a lesser extent, Wobbuffet. James only has Carnivine, as he rarely (if at all) used Mime Jr. in battle. I feel he needs a new Pokemon. Out of the Team Rocket trio, I like James the most. But they're nearing Sunnyshore City, and he still only has Carnivine. Do you think that, by now, he'd get a second battler? Sure, it'll just cause some problems for Ash and co., but as we have seen in past episodes, they can handle it.

My feelings are this. Either he gets Cacnea back, or catch another Grass-type. Keeping to the trend of the running gag with him and Grass-types, if he catches a new Grass-type (by befriending it frist, as he has done in the past), it'll affectionally attack him whenever it comes out of its Poke Ball. I felt that if he caught say a Roselia/Roserade, the thorns in its arms and possibly its head would do what Cacnea's needles did. I would find that pretty funny, and James could use another Pokemon to continue the "tradition". What are your thoughts on this? If you post, give what Pokemon he should catch. Mine are Cacnea and Roselia/Roserade. Happy posting.

Oh please, don't give us another pokemon to blast off every episode.

write those guys out of the show if they only serve as lame criminal comic relief

I'm going to say no, simply because it'll never get much screentime. We don't see Musashi and Kojiro's Pokemon do much as it is.

Can't hurt either way. On one hand, it's better than Carnivine being used every single time.
On the other, would it really make much difference in the long run? Not at all.

Honestly, I'd be much more for the idea if we actually saw Team Rocket's pokemon do things other than get beaten up by Pikachu and his penguin pal.

For a split-second I thought of Umineko there. But that's a useless thought. It's all useless!

...Anyway, a new Pokemon would be awesome. The TR Pokes add dimensions to the Team like never before. And if it's James we're talking about, then by all means give him another Grass Pokemon. He's not exactly in dire need of a new Pogey, but that doesn't mean he couldn't benefit in some way from one. So why not, even if it's just for a shortwhile before what ever new 'mon decides to accompany him turns into simple Twerp-bait.

A new Pokemon for James is technically also a new Pokemon for Jessie, if you get what I'm saying. Surprise challenger for the Grand Festival? Sure, bring it on!

No. It isn't worth it. All that will happen is that his Pokemon will get even less screentime than they already do.

For what purpose ??? getting another pokemon trashed by Ash and friends... No, this new pokemon would like pretty much all of TR's pokemon... that means interesting in theory but boring after 5 minutes.

I'd lose Wobbuffet and give Jessie another pokemon for contests before giving James another pokemon

They always had at least 2 Pokemon at their disposal for battles. The writers also seem like they don't even wanna touch Wobba's power ever since the episode in which Jessie obtained him, which is a real shame.

As if Manene and Maskippa (especially Manene) didn't get little enough screentime as it is, we need another pokemon for him? Are you guys out of your minds?!

And maybe you need to read Shudo's interview. They're not leaving. EVER!

Hmm... I never noticed that Carnivine didn't get enough screentime. But I do know that Mime Jr. hasn't shown up lately.

Anyway, I think James needs to catch another Pokemon to battle with (he almost never uses Mime Jr. in battle and he needs something other than Carnivine to battle with). Plus, Jessie already has 2 Pokemon she actually uses in battle (Seviper and Yanmega).

This is also my thoughts. And this is why I like the idea of Roselia/Roserade. As we've seen from Drew, Roselia is a pretty good contest Pokemon (even if this is TR we're talking about). Jessie has won two ribbons so far with Dustox and Yanmega (the former having been released), and a Roselia/Roserade would be a crowd pleaser. But more to the point, James may not need a new Pokemon, but it would be nice to give him another prime battler. Unless the writters decide to give him Cacnea back, he could use a second battler, giving Carnivine a little assistance. Plus the whole thorn bit would continue the gag.

Look at his past Grass-types: Victreebel chomped his head, Cacnea hugged him, and Carnivine nibbles his noggin. James could use a new friend, and as stated before, their Pokemon do add a lot of flare. I mean, look at Weezing and Arbok. At first, they were pretty flat, but as time went on, they became almost like family to them (James even stated that Weezing was like his brother). And with the fact that James is more emotional and tender than Jessie (as shown with his treatment with Chimecho and Mime Jr.) a new friend wouldn't hurt. Sure, it'll be another blast off partner, but you saw how upset James was after giving Cacnea to Gardenia, right? Hopefully the writters will give him something to look forward to. If there is a Gen V (which I hope) and TR tails Ash and co., I hope he at LEAST catches something then.

James should have a new battler, and I agree, Jessie could use it in her contests.

However, does it have to be another grass type? I honestly think that the pokemon attacking James thing is annoying. But I think it would be great if he got a new pokemon, even if it is a grass type.

You guys wouldn't want Musashi to win her next ribbon, with say, Habunake? Her own pokemon? Who hasn't yet won a ribbon?... :dodgy:

I'd prefer her to win with her own pokemon, but I think it would give her a better chance, and make it more interesting if they got a new pokemon

Poor, poor Seviper... To answer your question, I suppose not. Bite, Wrap, Poison Tail, Haze... and maybe a Sacred Fire or two! Out of all the Pokemon, it seems the least impressive to use in a contest. Back when she had Dustox, I always viewed her Seviper as the 'Battle' Pokemon and (dear) Dustox as the 'Contest' Pokemon.

They could be using it right under our noses though in all those off-screen competition rounds, so who knows!

Grass or Psychic type. Truth be told, I never would've thought the whole 'hurt James' bit could get taken so far. Now that it's a staple, why trash it I say.

About this whole grass type thing, why does he need two Pokemon that do that? Muskippa can still do that, but to me having Muskippa and Sabonea attack him got old pretty fast, and I don't want to see that kind of thing again. Besides, give the man some variety! Maybe water or fire or something neither him or Musashi currently have.

I perfer James with one battling Pokemon. Only for some amount of time in the original series and a while in Sinnoh has he had two battlers. It would seem a bit odd for him to have two, at least for me.
