Do you think Leaf will ever appear in the Anime?

Do you think the counterpart of the female character of FR/LG will ever make a cameo or actually appear in the anime?

I believe she is the only game character to not appear in some form in the anime.

So yea, I hope she does. Maybe in the next movie's opening like Brandon, but still that'd be cool!
 
I'm fairly surprised she hasn't made a cameo by now, actually. Maybe in the Sinnoh Grand Festival she'll be Dawn's surprise rival? lol
 
Outside a "World of Pokemon" segment from the movies, I'd say no.
 
Maybe a cameo, but I think she's got a pretty terrible chance of appearing as anything more.
 
I wish she would, because she's super cute but yea I agree that the only way would be a cameo in the movie opening.

But I DO wonder if the GSDS are going to be made, will any of the Gold or Silver version characters appear in the anime now?

I know Jimmy has already, but maybe Silver will get a bigger role even though people think Paul is based off him.
 
I doubt it. Leaf, Wally (from Petalberg in R/S/E), Silver and Lucas and his sister were not in anime before.
 
I think it would be a bit too late to introduce a character that comes from the same town Ash came from. Since we now spend like... One or two episodes there inbetween journeys? Not enough time to establish a "major" character. It would have made alot more sense to introduce the character way back in the very beginning of the anime. But they were probably more interested in showing Misty as the main female character at the time.

Daisy/May is in a similar boat. The only thing she really did was give you a map at the very beginning of the game.

Actually, Silver managed to get a very brief cameo in the Raikou special and Lucas received a "World of Pokémon" segment where he battled Brendan.
 
I want to see her in a Contest cameo during the beginning of the movie, since they always show male game characters at the Battle Tower..
 
It's too late for her.

Of course, a part of me still hopes that she would appear in the Sinnoh League or at least in the "World of Pokemon" intro of the movie. But it's actually a naive part of me. It's not to be trusted!
 
Well, if DP can continue their habit of being more unpredictable, perhaps we may see the main girl from FRLG. Otherwise, I don't know. As much as I like to see her in the anime, not to mention many other previous characters from the games not appeared in anime yet, I wonder how the creators will display her character and such?
 
I think it would be great to see Leaf be Ash's rival in the Sinnoh League, but who knows if she'll ever show up. I mean, Wallace made an apperance in Sinnoh so you never know.
 
I've always liked the thought that Leaf was one of the two other trainers who left Pallet along with Ash and Gary.
There's nothing stopping the writers from following up on that - it's not illegal to let her give Pokemon training another try despite having given up waaaaay back. Mneh, one can dream.

Just don't let her become a coordinator. Really. It'll be horribly redundant if ALL the female characters a gamer can be in the games are coordinators.

I don't find it likely to have Leaf show up, but dammit I'll still hope she will.
 
Well, you never know. Stranger things have happened.

I doubt we ever see her the way things are going now, however. It would seem like that ship has sailed.
 
Yeah, I think the only reason Wallace appeared is because the animators had already done an anime Wallace design back in early Hoenn, and they had no clue Emerald would swap him out for Juan at the time.

Since Wallace was already designed in anime form but never used, the writers probably dusted off some old model sheets and used him to host the Wallace Cup, especially since they probably always planned to have May re-appear at some point in DP.

However I very much doubt they made an anime design for Leaf. FR/LG came out when the gang was in the middle of Hoenn, so there was no way to incorporate her aside from possibly making her a rival.
 
Given that Leaf comes from Pallet town, I doubt she will appear. Its been to long a time. If she had came from a town other than the main characters, it would have been fine to show her. But given she is about same age as Ash and that Pallet town and characters have been shown more than once before, also shows that she may not appear. Did she come from the house where Ash lived?
 
Wasn't there something about those "other two trainers" who simply gave up? Food for thought that one of them was her.
