Do you think older Pokémon will be introduced in Best Wishes?

Aside from Pikachu, Meowth and Persian/Umbreon cameo, do you think Best Wishes will introduce older Pokémon, or just Unova Pokémon in order to keep the show fresh?
 
I'm sure at some point, something will occur that causes Ash to bring back his reserves like the seasons prior. Though I think we can safely say that it won't occur until after the league.
 
If they decide to remake Ruby/Sapphire (or any old game for that matter), then we could see older Pokemon. But it would probably be after the league.
 
MAYBE and only after the League. At the moment its pretty much like all of his old pokemon and accomplishments are gone. I'm really interested in seeing how the writers handle this, because unless they're just never going to mention the old regions/characters/pokemon ever again, they have a problem.
 
I think they will, but only after all the Unova Pokemon are introduced.
 
I'm gonna bet on sooner than the league because I'm betting that there will be Ruby/Sapphire remakes. Unless they do something silly and use side stories to promote the remakes with side story episodes about May in Sinnoh or something.

If there's no RSEmakes, then there probably won't be any old Pokémon showing up until the league.
 
No. But I do think, considering the current "friendship" theme of the show (when Trip's busy not being a jerk), that the ponies from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" will be introduced. Or rather, their Pokémon equivalents, meaning a lot of Rapidashes and flying Rapidashes will be the only old Pokémon introduced in the show.

But in all seriousness, only if RSE is remade.
 
I think everyone who mentioned the RSE remake is right. Around when HGSS came out, thats when we saw those kids with the Johto Pokemon and Dawn got the Cyndaquil egg. I hope they do, because they seem to be introducing the Pokemon faster, when they're done, it would be boring to keep seeing the same ones over and over.
 
If we are going to be seeing any older Pokemon, I suspect it'll be in east Unova, where they are in the games. The bit about them escaping from the Poke-transfer thing (or whatever it was... it was something like that) would make a decent plot. And we could have a scene where Ash recognizes the Pokemon but Iris and Cilan have no idea what it is, which would be funny.

And yeah, RSE remakes mean Hoenn Pokemon.
 
Eventually yes. The Unova Pokemon will get old and people will like to see the return of the first four Generations. Specially see interactions between membes of the first four with those of the fifth.
 
hopefuly yes and vulpix and riolu makes an apperance because their not nessarily from hoenn.
beacause 1) i would flip out and 2) Cilan catchs one and hatches the other
i agree that hoenn pokemon would appre because of the probabilty of RSEmakes but vulpix and riolu are the only ones i realy want to see. XD im hoping that they take into consideration cuz just unova pokemon would and will be boring.

Only if Ash & co cross those bridges.

However, I can see Hoenn Pokémon reappearing if Ruby and Sapphire remakes happen this generation (maybe in a style similar to the Lyra mini-arc in DP?).
 
Another May cameo (or even a Max one) would be cool, but I doubt it will happen. And while the sky will be awfully crowded with flying Rapidashes, I wouldn't mind seeing a migration of Hoenn bird Pokémon or even Rayquaza. While we're doing wishful thinking, though, I think I would like to see Rocket vs Aqua vs Magma vs Plasma the Kyogre/Groudon finale never happened!, but like I said, wishful thinking.
 
Seeing as the previous regions powerhouse always defeats a legendary, I'm sure something will get taken down by Blazenape. Oh, and Pikachu will do the same.
 
If Ruby and Sapphire are remade, a Hoenn Pokémon cameo is possible. I think Kanto, Johto or Sinnoh Pokémon won't make an appearance during the Unova saga.

^THis and the fact that I'm sure Ash isnt the only trainer there from another reigon. So I hope so...
 
Even though no older generation Pokemon does make Best Wishes sort of fresh, new and unique. And with as many 5th gen Pokemon as there are, it makes a lot of sense why they would only show 5th gen Pokemon.

But from an in-universe perspective, it doesn't make sense that Ash is the ONLY other generation trainer that exists in the Unova region.

There has to be some other trainers from Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh that came to Unova for some reason that has 1-4 generational Pokemon. But then again that doesn't explain why we've never seen a 6th gen, 7th gen trainer, etc, etc, except for the fact they don't currently exist.

And it does seem unusual, that no one from Unova went to another region and caught an older gen Pokemon.
