Do you think Team Rocket will ever reunite with their older Pokemon?

Unlike the other main characters, when TR leave their Pokemon behind they're usually gone for good. However its possible for TR to reunite with their Pokemon once the show ends.

- Chimecho is with James caretakers, so you can technically say he still owns it. I hope we see Chimecho and James back together during the end of the series.

- Cacnea with Gardenia is more iffy. Gardenia promised to turn it into a strong Pokemon, but will James let it live a good life with Gardenia or take it back himself someday?

- Victreebel is gone for good. Its story is over, it ran off with a female Victreebel and lived happily ever after. I don't see James ever seeing it again.

- Dustox is also gone for good. Jessie smashed its Pokeball and it went off with a male Dustox.

- Arbok/Weezing is questionable. They're still in Hoenn protecting the Ekans/Koffing group, but could J/J/M track them down someday? I wonder if during the end of the series, the writers will reunite them.

Do you think its possible Team Rocket will reunite with their older Pokes in the final eps of the series?

Maybe someday if the groups go through Kanto again, James could meet Chimecho again... and then probably leave it because for some reason or another it's happier there. Or maybe Chimecho will meet up with Pidgeot and Primeape and they'll all go on an epic adventure to save the world from destruction that none of us would ever be aware of because their trainers haven't bothered to catch up with them. In either case, I don't see a third Kanto journey any time soon, if at all, so... no Chimecho.

Maybe Cacnea will pop up again, but yeah, the "stay where you are, you're happier this way" scenario seems most likely.

As for the "at the end of the series" idea. Well, I honestly expect Pokémon to end on an unsatisfactory note without any proper closure due to viewership so low they simply have no choice but to end it, so yeah.

James actually did bring up Victreebel in a DP ep, so I wonder why Arbok/Weezing have never been referenced.

Because there really was no situation in which to bring up Arbok and Weezing.

With Cacnea, if the 5th gen had an evo in which it had to learn Drain Punch, then yeah sure. Besides, it's not like James said Gardenia could keep Cacnea, just train it.

With Chimecho, perhaps it could come back if it got better. However, for advert purposes, it probably needs a new evo lol. Though it would be interesting if James got both Chimecho and Mime.Jr on his team.

Dustox won't be seen again(I really hope so, it's a boring Pokemon with no personality. Seviper, Yanmega, Arbok, and Weezing suffered from this but at least they look cool and have interesting attacks. Dustox, not so much.

Victrebell won't be seen either, considering we don't even know where it went.

Arbok and Weezing. hmmm, if they ever went through Hoenn again than perhaps that could be the case. I would love if they joined back with TR again for nostalgia purposes. They could do that if they had a little stint in Hoenn.

Anyway, in an end of series situation I see Kojiro getting back Guardie and Chiriin for sure. Sabonea could go either way.

I think everyone else is gone for good.

Yeah, keep in mind I'm talking about a theoretical "at the end of the series" or a "ending montage" in terms of this, I obviously don't think they'll get them back while the show is still going.

I always kinda wanted Arbok/Weezing to reunite with them, given it was their first Pokemon. Assuming TR is disbanded in the last arc, it would be nice to see them go off to Hoenn and try to find Arbok/Weezing.

I don't know how likely it is, but I think if any reunion deserves to take place, it's Arbok and Weezing.

I'd imagine it would be somewhat possible if they became relevant to newer games - i.e. if a next-generation Pokédex happened to have Arbok or Weezing in it. True, this theorem makes things confusing in regards to the continued presence of Wobbuffet and Meowth, but still...

The thing with Wobuffet and Meowth is that they sort of have become iconic with TR. Basically Pikachu;Tr style. When I think of JJ I also think ogf wobuffet and Meowth.

It was only brought up, because James was thinking how Carnivines bite used to be like Victreebel biting him and he missed it.

Dustox won't be back, if it went like Butterfree, its not coming back.

Cacnea... maybe it could turn up later as a cacturne trained up well by Gardinia.

Seviper replaced Arbok, so I don't know about Arbok coming back. I would like to see Weezing/Arbok again, be a good reunion.
