Do you think that the Gen V Pokémon/Jennies/Joys will dissapear at some point?

It has been stated that there are no Gen V Pokémon in Kanto.

Since Ash & Friends are on their way to Kanto, do you think that Gen V Pokémon will dissapear at some point? Or will they just retcon the whole thing and allow Gen V Pokémon to live in Kanto?

Also, will the Joy's and Jenny's have the old design again?
 
Since they had no problem retconning older Pokemon into Unova when at the start of the series they acted like the whole region was only full of fifth generation Pokemon, I don't see them having a problem with showcasing some Unova Pokemon in Kanto. They may not show a lot of wild Pokemon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route. The designs for the Joys and Jennys will return if the opening is any indication.
 
Didn't Kanto already get retconned to have Johto and Hoenn Pokémon in it? I haven't seen much of Battle Frontier so I don't know for sure how many Hoenn Pokémon there were, but still.
 
Possibly, I think they may. I mean, after all, I saw the old designs for Jenny and Joy in a recent Da! intro IIRC.
 
Kanto was already retconned back in AG to have Hoenn and Johto mons, so it most likely would happen.
 
I don't see the point in changing them back to their old designs, it makes me wonder if they have any regrets and want to forget about BW once they are done with it.
I will miss Joy's BW design, although I will be more than happy to see the old Jenny again. So, I think I'm kind of neutral.

Because they're going back to Kanto?

If they had new designs for Best Wishes, they're just as likely going to make new designs for the XY portion of the anime (or use the same ones from Best Wishes). Even the ones in the Orange Islands were subtly different.

I think they will change to Kanto design. Or they will at least be smart enough to not show a Jenny and a Joy. I am inclining on the latter. The Da! opening clearly stated us that the Nurse, Police uniform are region specific and not a remake of the oriignal design. Besides if they changed the Kanto design too, they would have shown the same in the Charmander flashback. So it's not a redesign but an Unova-region specific thing.

If they do however change it..........I don't even know what to say.
 
The Kanto flashbacks have shown Joy to be the same as she always was in the first four anime generations, so yeah, they're making it out to be region-specific like how the Joy and Junsa in the Orange Islands had a tan/different uniforms. Not to mention, the Da! opening shows the classic and Best Wishes versions of Joy and Junsa side-by-side. Otherwise, it would be silly... to say the least.

I don't think that they want to forget about BW. Like FANG-TAN mentioned, they're making those designs specific to the Unova region. It's no different than going back to the regular Joy and Jenny designs after the Orange Islands. They'll be shown again whenever they show flashbacks or images of a Joy or Jenny from the Unova region.
 
Nurse Joy also appeared in the Brock Special two years ago that was happening at the same time as Ash's journey in Unova, and it was the original Joy. I wouldn't be surprised that the closer they get to Kanto in the DA that the Unova Joy/Jenny stop appearing and the originals start popping up.
 
This makes me wonder when they're going to make the switch. I'm not up to date with the latest episode reveals, but are they just going to wait until they're on mainland Kanto before the old designs appear or are they going to have some of the islands closer to Kanto have the originals? It makes more sense for the latter, but sometimes it's hard to tell with this show.

It would also be cool if they had both the Unova and Kanto designs both appear in the same episode.
 
With regard to Pokémon, they'll probably show up sometime in the future. Past gen Pokémon always show up in each saga eventually, even if they focus on ones from the newest gen first.
