We all know that AZ's story was pretty dark for Pokémon standards but it was pretty vital to XY's plot. Now, do you'll feel that the anime will tackle this part of the game or will the writers deem it far to dark for the show? Perhaps will they just water it down?

Well, they can include him without including the dark parts. It would be interesting to see him in anime.

Gee, YA THINK?! o_O

This is Pocket Monsters, not Fullmetal Alchemist! There are rules!

If not, then he'll simply join the ranks of those poor souls who just never got an animated appearance :(

Yes it's sad when Nintendo has more nads than the anime

I think he may. We still have AZ Floetta to get as an event. What else would it be waiting for but an AZ appearance?

They'll probably showcase AZ at some point. I don't think that they'll just skip him completely when he does tie in with Team Flare. They'll probably just tone down the dark aspects of his storyline and/or just wait until the newest game gives him something else for the anime to work with. I'm sure that they'd want to showcase his Floetta at some point too.

Most likely, the XY&Z series will use the same plot with team flare as in the games, so the ultimate weapon would be most likely used. AZ is the only one with the key for the ultimate weapon, therefore he may have some part in the story arc. If anything, he probably will be somewhat a character of the day where he will be featured in only one episode. This is what I speculated, however, and most likely, he won't be featured at all. It would be interesting if they did implement him in however.

Doubtful, since the arc with Team Plasma wasn't that close to the games (especially because of Colress' Adaptational Villainy, when he was only an Anti Villain in the games). No matter how dark the games are, the anime's versions tend to be Lighter and Softer, and the chances of Lysandre being arrested by Officer Jenny is much higher than him being crushed to death when the Ultimate Weapon is destroyed. If AZ does show up in the anime, I don't think he'll play much of a role.

As of XY101, Giovanni is a Karma Houdini (and still active because Jessie, James and Meowth will remain in the cast forever), Maxie and Archie reform and are possibly in jail, Cyrus presumably died in his own dimension, J was killed in an explosion caused by Uxie and Mesprit, and Ghetsis and Colress are in jail. And with the exception of Marcus (since he's in the past anyway), none of the villains died in the films (specials don't count).

If you ask me, I'd like to see Zinnia in this plot as well, to tie in with the Delta Episode of ORAS.

I can only assume we had no sign of him yet because they are saving him for a movie plot.

In the games, Team Flare's focus was on Xerneas/Yveltal (depending on the game), in the anime, they are behind Zygarde, making the base plot of the anime same as the games, only the focus Pokemon is different. SO yes, they will show AZ, but as in Mega Evolution Act IV being the first time Sycamore met Lysandre, things could be different

The upcoming Floette episode would be the earliest chance to give him an anime debut, but all of that could go down the toilet if later previews explicitly show this Floette to be a normal Floette instead of the Eternal Flower one. It's tentative at best right now.
