So you see, the opening theme spoils ALOT of stuff, and would you like it if the sun&moon opening theme spoiled some of ash's team and whatever pokemon his companions might catch?

Since Litten was basically confirmed in the first trailers, and Rowlet is highly implied, but the possibility for Litten is more.

Well yes, and he also steps on Litten's tail and it's right near his feet? After doing some reading online, the speculation is that he'll capture both Rowlet and Litten. Case closed in my book.

I wasn't arguing against that, though. I was merely stating why people think Ash is getting Rowlet since you seemed to doubt it.

Personally I think Ash is getting two starters since Popplio seems to belong to Lana.

I don't understand why anime producers don't make different variations of the openings (and endings) to prevent big spoilers being put in our faces. One good example of an anime series that actually did this was Sailor Moon S. It had three opening variants through its run to prevent huge plot spoilers. All they would really have to do is add in each Pokémon the main cast gets the episode after it's caught and they would be set.

They do actually do this to some extent but we have to be reasonable - a spoiler-free animation for the first airing of the OP would literally just be Satoshi, Pikachu, Musashi, Kojiro and Nyasu against a blank screen. It's almost inevitable that some key things get spoiled off the bat.
